If I'd have known he was going to fall, I'd have gone with D'Andre Hopkins for the Texans in the first and Minter in the 2nd.

I felt like Hopkins was a bit of a reach that early but Minter in the next round would've made up for it.

Oh well, I still like my Ogletree/Williams duo. That's a hell of an infusion to the middle of that defense.

Perhaps. I really don't see Minter as a Mike backer though. Chiefs would have to put him in different situations to make the best use of him. Or wait until DJ dies.

But yes, he was going to be the pick.

Nightfyre 03-22-2013 11:48 AM

The San Fransisco 49ers select Giovani Bernard, RB, North Carolina

The best player available on their board - plus, hey Frank Gore isn't a spring chicken.

To be honest, up until the Alex Smith trade, Geno was the only thing on my mind. I hadn't given it that much thought.

DJ's left nut 03-22-2013 12:19 PM

Okay, so who should I send my picks lists to?

I'm going to try to get access over the fishing trip, but if I can't you guys shouldn't need to wait on me. And if my picks get cleaned out, do you fellas have a proxy you want me to give my teams to for the weekend?

I'd have loved to have gotten through the 3rd today, but that's pretty clearly not going to happen.

JFC. I have shit to do this afternoon. We should be halfway through the 3rd round by now. **** you, Marco.

I'm PMing my pick. Will talk about it later.

Hunter, James, Bernard + Gore is an absolutely awesome backfield. JFC.

Titty Meat 03-22-2013 01:37 PM

**** you Boss you stole my pick.

Ravens are going to have to replace Anquan Boldin. Mr. Boardwalk selects Markus Wheaton WR Oregon State

The Franchise 03-22-2013 01:38 PM

SNR PM'd me his Chiefs pick.

The Kansas City Chiefs select Barrett Jones, OL, Alabama

The Franchise 03-22-2013 01:40 PM

The Jacksonville Jaguars select Tyler Bray, QB, Tennessee

Sanka is going to :holdman: to this pick.

Sfeihc 03-22-2013 01:55 PM

Stephen Peterman was handed his walking papers. Godser Cherilus is a Colt was allowed to walk in FA. The right side of the Lions offensive line was terrible. B. Jones would have been a nice pick who could have been a RG as a rookie and replaced D. Raiola @ C next year. The Detroit Lions with the third pick of the third round select Terron Armstead, OT, Arkansas-Pine Bluff. This player could fill one of the voids on the right side of their OL.

ChiefsCountry 03-22-2013 02:01 PM

Armstead was in the running for the Cowboys pick. It sucks going all true fan on the Boys.

ChiefsCountry 03-22-2013 02:05 PM

Well we got Barkley, the best quarterback in the draft, now he needs somebody to throw the ball to. Raiders are lucky one of the best receivers slipped to the third.

Oakland Raiders select Terrence Williams, WR, Baylor.

Weird pick.

A lot of places you could go with this pick.

The upside is that you're protected no matter what happens with Hudson.

LT: Albert, Stephenson
LG: Jones, Schwartz
C: Hudson, Jones
RG: Asamoah, Schwartz
RT: Allen, Stephenson

All kinds of formations. You'd also be giving our roster a fifth player with tackle experience.

Mr. Flopnuts 03-22-2013 02:56 PM

Just a ****ing run on players I had lined up for the Eagles. Amerson, Jesse Williams, I was even going with Minter if he fell. Give me a minute. I'll have my pick within 10.

Mr. Flopnuts 03-22-2013 03:05 PM

There's just so many pieces Philadelphia needs to rebuild their defense. I had some guys I really wanted to get my hands on, and thought they were all gone. Then I discovered one remained that had some real value at this pick.

The Philadelphia Eagles select Jordan Poyer CB from Oregon State University

This kid has some work to do, but has a very high ceiling and plays really well on the ball. I think he's probably a good mix of what this team needs with value at this selection.

DJ's left nut 03-22-2013 03:06 PM

Dick.

As GM, I'm not trading Albert, but I'm also not convinced our interior line is fully shored up, and that has to do with questions about who will play RT.

Ideally you would have Schwartz as the starting RT, which leaves Allen as the LG. I'm not too comfortable with that, to be honest.

Barrett Jones was the BPA. He has this reputation of being maxed out, but I don't believe that at all. He has Bruce Matthews-type potential, and I'm not just saying that because he can play anything. At the very least our offensive line is good to go provided Albert doesn't get traded.

Titty Meat 03-22-2013 05:18 PM

**** I typed out a long write up and it didn't send.

Anyway I've been waiting to pick this guy. He's my favorite player in the draft and would have been a first round pick if he would have just stayed home and played monopoly in college.

Cleveland Browns select Da'Rick Rogers Tennessee Tech

DeezNutz 03-22-2013 05:43 PM

You're going to have to toughen up, if you want to play for an elite organization like the Cardinals:

Darius Slay, CB, Mississippi State

If it weren't for the injury, Jones os gone in the first. That's the only reason I chose Minter.

Justin Pugh, G, Syracuse

The Commissioner's Office would have awarded Slay to me under the newly invoked Pioli rule, which overrules ridiculous reaches, returning the draft slot to the abused fanbase.

BossChief 03-22-2013 07:12 PM

The Buffalo Bills have had absolutely nothing at receiver and that's a shame because their running game could really do some things if they could stretch the field. Therefore, I have decided to double dip at receiver and snag another talent I think is a fantastic value at this point.

In the third round of the CP Mock, the Buffalo Bills select

Stedman Bailey, WR, West Virginia

I really like the Bills defense and running game and I think my first three picks for them can really spruce things up with their passing game.

Tavon Austin
Mike Glennon
Stedman Bailey

Titty Meat 03-22-2013 07:56 PM

Damn I forgot about Rambo

Edit:

Rams need a powerful RB for the rotation to replace Jackson. Ganway could be that guy, but I think Ball has more of a ceiling.

Mr. Flopnuts 03-23-2013 12:45 PM

Holy ****! the guy I was going to select was drafted in the mid 2nd round.

Mr. Flopnuts 03-23-2013 01:03 PM

Alright, I had to put some serious thought into this pick. I thought about reaching for a couple of guys that I really like that I don't think will be there by the next round, but ultimately I decided to take a guy that has some learning to do. He has just ****ing perfect size and strength, and could turn into a monster at the next level.

The Pittsburgh Steelers select Jamie Collins OLB Southern Miss

Direckshun 03-23-2013 01:29 PM

Man, those were good days.

DeezNutz 03-23-2013 01:49 PM

I don't agree with the thought here.

Kick Hudson over to LG, and line Swartz at RG.

Let Allen and Stephonson battle for the RT spot.

ChiefsCountry 03-23-2013 02:24 PM

There is an offensive lineman I would like to take for the Cowboys right here and can be a difference maker but I'm going to play poker for now with him.

Dallas Cowboys select Tony Jefferson, S, Oklahoma

ChiefsCountry 03-23-2013 02:27 PM

Also while DaKC is having an awesome cruise to keep this running quickly and without having to find somebody on the fly - I'll just take over his Miami picks and Pest can take his Cincy picks till he gets back next weekend.
