Hey Kendrink- ya, just kinda go back there and cover the grass. Feel free to take some notes and watch your team mates if you'd like. At least learn to position yourself to take better angles. |

Lol, Mitch Holthus really has a way of resonating with True Fans. If you don't mind losing a few brain cells with his constant crowd pandering of "PUT THE HAMMER DOWN!", this is a pretty good interview with Cooper. Cooper sounds humble, eager, and all-around awesome |

WTF is the "PUT THE HAMMER DOWN!" thing about anyway? |

It's time to... keep.. the hammer........ doooowwwwnnnn. |
rookie made a few mistakes today and was tested, but he came back strong with several quality pass defenses and another INT
Demps and Abdullah both with INTs too. |
The key was he gave the middle finger and picked off the slant

Demps - INT Abdullah - INT Lewis - managed to find a tackle today but still left the rookie hanging on the touchdown slant pass. |
That was demps

After today. I am officially crowning Marcus Cooper.
Yes, it seems a little early. But ****. This guy is ballin. They targeted him all game and he didnt allow a catch until garbage time that I saw, plus he ripped that pick away just like he did last week. |
Quote:
He's still an invisible man who flails all over the field if asked to tackle anyone Every safety seeing playing time has a INT but Lewis? |
Quote:
|
Just looked at touchdown again, i guess it was both of them.
Demps was deep and took a bad angle on tackle Lewis was inside and stepped too far up so the slant went behind him |

I still love him.

Another HUGE game for the kid. It's criminal that he's on such a tiny contract for - what - 4 years?
|
All cornerbacks will give up some, but the good ones will shut it down most of the time. Cooper is a beast.

Marcus Cooper - 5/10/2013: Signed a four-year, $2.205 million contract. The deal included a $45,896 signing bonus.
Rookie contract cannot be renegotiated for at least 3 years? |
DROY

He is ****ing awesome.
I love it when the receiver turns he actually turns. Just like you are taught. |
Count. Me. In.
Dorsey found us a top flight starter on the scrap heap, that strip of a sure touchdown was the kind of thing that builds legends. |
|
Kid has some Charles Woodson in him. Always around the ball.
|
ROY

I hope he gets more playing time.

So much in.

I read an article describing cooper as a "bit" player. Obviously they don't watch our games.
|
@bkissel7: Marcus Cooper is @PFF's No. 2 ranked CB in 'coverage' this year. Has to enter DROY discussion with Alonso, Richardson. #Chiefs
|
What players from last year's draft would you trade Cooper for? I can't name one.

Sheldon Richardson

Meanwhile, the 49ers are cutting Asamoghua to get Eric Wright back on the field.
Cooper is superior to either of those guys and it's not even close. |

Found this on another Chiefs board. |
Those were some great highlights.
Dude went from #4 to #1 CB in the blink of an eye. STUD. Oh, and he's a mother****ing ace gunner. |
This is what I think he does better then any corner on the team. He turns his head to actually see where the ball is at, too make a play. It seems like flowers and Carr (when he was here. Still does it in dallas) would hardly ever turn their heads and would only stick their hands in the receivers face right before a catch. Maybe it was coaching. I know corners shouldn't keep their eyes in the back field, but this guy knows when to turn to look back. I'm glad Cooper gets it.

Yep, loving some M Cooper :thumb: |
How the **** did the 49ers let this stud go? I'm glad they did, but I'm guessing they're regretting it

If a player is a 'never flashed' and we move on, that's one thing. When a player flashes the ability to contribute, then loses it, I place a little blame on the coaching staff for failing to nurture talent. That is, unless the full story reveals that the player is actively unteachable [ie, an impregnable head case, or dumb as a rock]. |

Wow I can't believe this dumb mother****er did this. He won't be in the league much longer. |
Wow. Looked staged as ****, but strangely the Bears still won.

What a numbskull. So glad the Chiefs got rid of this guy a couple years ago.

I was one of few who told CP that Gaines sucked. I was one of the only ones to say Flowers still had a season or two in him when the Chiefs cut him (he had a ProBowl year for SD the next season) I argued for days on end with everyone who said Berry was done, and that was BEFORE the cancer, let alone during. And i was THE FIRST to tell you all that Mitchell would be the real deal, and i said that after the Falcons game (his first action), not after the Raiders game. Yes, i'm bragging. Take notes on how it's done ClayCoMo. That's how you call your shit and get it right. |
