1. Justin Houston (338)
2. Derrick O. Johnson (335)
3. Tamba Hali (335)
4. Eric Berry (334)
5. Kendrick Lewis (332)
6. Dontari Poe (321)
7. Sean Smith (319)
8. Brandon Flowers (258)
9. Akeem Jordan (171)
10. Mike Devito (170)

There have been a total of 345 total defensive snaps.

I didn't expect Jordan to be so low. He has quietly been a really solid addition.

Chiefs secondary best in the nfl by a large margin
They are +27.5 as a unit- that is 15 more points than the SeaHawks, who are ranked 2nd.

Probably the only reason his play hasn't been glaringly easy to spot is simply because he's a 3rd level defender and has no joke 5 Pro Bowlers including 2 right in front of him and 1 right next to him playing.

Hey Kendrink- ya, just kinda go back there and cover the grass. Feel free to take some notes and watch your team mates if you'd like. At least learn to position yourself to take better angles.

Lol, Mitch Holthus really has a way of resonating with True Fans.

If you don't mind losing a few brain cells with his constant crowd pandering of "PUT THE HAMMER DOWN!", this is a pretty good interview with Cooper.

Cooper sounds humble, eager, and all-around awesome

So I listened to the game two weeks ago, and I probably hadn't listened to Mitch for the past 5 years at least.

I can't tell you where it came from, but it's his catch phrase on his "Chiefs Kingdom" live audience weekly radio program. I don't mind the phrase, but when he leads the audience with it, he says it really slow and that kind of annoys me.

It's time to... keep.. the hammer........ doooowwwwnnnn.

Mr. Laz 10-13-2013 05:18 PM

rookie made a few mistakes today and was tested, but he came back strong with several quality pass defenses and another INT

Demps and Abdullah both with INTs too.

Mother****erJones 10-13-2013 05:20 PM

The key was he gave the middle finger and picked off the slant

we are talking about replacing Lewis with guys already on the roster. You're just being silly.

Lewis plays the deep man on most plays effectively taking him out of the play most of the time. We don't want Demps out of most plays. So no, I'm okay with Lewis being back there.

Lewis was a worthless pile of shit today too.

Demps - INT
Abdullah - INT
Lewis - managed to find a tackle today but still left the rookie hanging on the touchdown slant pass.

Yes, it seems a little early. But ****. This guy is ballin. They targeted him all game and he didnt allow a catch until garbage time that I saw, plus he ripped that pick away just like he did last week.

He was beat by his guy on the slant that scored the Raiders TD, but Berry bit too hard and should've been there to turn it into a moderate (but not killer) gain.

Mr. Laz 10-13-2013 06:08 PM

Just looked at touchdown again, i guess it was both of them.

Demps was deep and took a bad angle on tackle
Lewis was inside and stepped too far up so the slant went behind him

Oh, and he's a mother****ing ace gunner.

dannybcaitlyn 11-13-2013 07:28 AM

This is what I think he does better then any corner on the team. He turns his head to actually see where the ball is at, too make a play. It seems like flowers and Carr (when he was here. Still does it in dallas) would hardly ever turn their heads and would only stick their hands in the receivers face right before a catch. Maybe it was coaching. I know corners shouldn't keep their eyes in the back field, but this guy knows when to turn to look back. I'm glad Cooper gets it.

It's a tough question. When I see flashes of true talent, my pressure moves to the coaching staff to curate the neuroses and work ethic that goes into a lasting asset.

If a player is a 'never flashed' and we move on, that's one thing.

When a player flashes the ability to contribute, then loses it, I place a little blame on the coaching staff for failing to nurture talent. That is, unless the full story reveals that the player is actively unteachable [ie, an impregnable head case, or dumb as a rock].

I was the first to tell CP that Cooper sucked and his early success was mostly attributed to playing some of the worst QB's in the league.

I was one of few who told CP that Gaines sucked.

I was one of the only ones to say Flowers still had a season or two in him when the Chiefs cut him (he had a ProBowl year for SD the next season)

I argued for days on end with everyone who said Berry was done, and that was BEFORE the cancer, let alone during.

And i was THE FIRST to tell you all that Mitchell would be the real deal, and i said that after the Falcons game (his first action), not after the Raiders game.

Yes, i'm bragging.

Take notes on how it's done ClayCoMo. That's how you call your shit and get it right.
