It's pathetic how the city of Kansas City plows their roads.

I'm expecting that call in the morning that my sons school will be canceled for the 5th straight day. Rural school bus routes don't get plowed very well.

Subarus are a ton of fun in the snow. My wife owned an Impreza when we lived in Colorado, and I loved taking it if I was doing a lot of highway or interstate driving (like my commute up to Wyoming back then). Not as badass as a dedicated 4wd like my 4runner at the time, but still impressive. Main advantage of the 4runner was clearance. I could break tracks in 30" of snow in it (which I got to do while we were out there) and the Sub was going nowhere.

AYep. Only issue I ever have while driving in snow with my Subaru is clearance. I love my Impreza WRX STI

The ice dam on my roof was pretty awesome. Nothing beats being woken up by ice cold water dripping on you.

Hell no. They found it up in the hood. Whoever stole it did it for a ride, walked away, and all the zombies picked it apart over the following weeks. Stole all the wiring, fuse box, catalytic converter...and my carrier still wouldn't total it.

We haven't seen 70s since October.

This isn't the coldest or the snowiest winter but we keep going back and forth from subzero temps to a slight warmup that comes with more snow, rinse, repeat.

Nice warmup coming for the KC area. Might try to get out and play some golf this weekend.

Spent 3 1/2 hours this afternoon shoveling 14" inches of snow plus another 3' that was built up along the entire bottom of the driveway in a 15' x 8' grid.

It was raining and sleeting for quite a while so I was soaking wet when I finished. It's now turning back to snow and expecting 4-5" more.

This winter can't end soon enough for me! :cuss:

Made a road trip from Northeast Iowa to Minneapolis last night. Winds at 40-50 mph. I35 was like a war zone with flipped Semi's from the wind and black ice.

Supposed to be around 90 here this weekend, which is unseasonably hot by about 15 degree this time of year, even for here. Think I'll take a dip in the pool with this extreme weather.

My goal is to own a retirement home in Scottsdale. I once briefly owned a new home in Pinnacle Canyon off Dynamite Blvd on E Whitefeather La.

I love the area and after all the snow and freezing cold we have suffered this season, I'm trying harder than ever to speed up my plans. I don't want to spend anymore than 3-4 more years in the cold during the winter.

And rightfully so schools should have been closed. The mayor was trying to blame the national weather service and Rooker basically said f you. I live in a snow belt upstate so if there are a lot of snow days they just add days at the end of the year no big deal.

I think my city didnt think we were going to get much snow.

Yesterday it was only estimated we would get 1-3 inches. I woke up this morning to see my truck burried in at least 4 inches of snow. Classes were still scheduled, and when I was driving to class the streets, including the highway, were awful when they are typically presalted and clear to drive on. The whole time I was driving I was thinking why the hell are classes still scheduled???

When I left to come home I was lucky enough to have someone slide into the back of my truck and when the cops came out I was also lucky enough to have forgotten to put my new insurance card in my truck. Now I have a sweet court date in a month.
