Most places around here are somewhere at or above $2.00 per gallon, but a few places are a few cents under.

Interesting how when the price of gas went up the price of everything went up but when the price of gas goes down the price of everything else still goes up.

I don't like the government adding any new taxes or fees but now would be a PERFECT time for a 5 year decreasing DEDICATED tax on gas to replenish the Transportation Trust Fund. There would be so much money available to fix our shitty infrastructure it would be silly. The only issue I worry about is the scoundrels in DC all sticking their slimy paws in there to steal money for their other pet projects and causes, just they did to the Social Security Trust fund with no money in it because they ass raped it.

Gas taxes hit the middle class harder than anyone--they use the most gas. |
Brent Crude dropped to below $40/bbl this morning. First time it;s been below $40 since 2009. Some Analysts believe crude could get to $20 in 2016. I think they are off on that, but I don't think it's out of the question that crude could dip just below $30 for a short period. WTI is trading at ~ $37
|
I think we are looking at $25 a barrel in 2016.
Gas $1.61 this a.m. |

The amount of roads that have been repaved here in Northern Virginia is nothing short of astronomical. I think it's at least 3-4 BILLION dollars worth. They are repaving everything. |

Americans have it in their head that cheap gasoline is their birthright. The same assholes who bitch about $3.00/gal gasoline are the same assholes that stand in line to get a $5.00 venti mocha****achino every goddamn morning. |

I did the math once on the gasoline tax revenue generated annually and the cost of the creation of the entire interstate system. It was fun.

I've been paying in excess of $4 dollars (often, closer to the five) for at least the past 5 years. Only recently has it dipped below $3 dollars and it's awesome. |

WTI closed at $36.76 a barrel today. Gasoline will likely go sub-$2.00 tomorrow.
|
How low will it go? $30, $28, $25, $20
I wouldn't be shocked if gas touches $1.25 a gallon or possibly as low as $1.00 If oil hits $20-25 a barrel, BUY ALL THE MAJOR OIL STOCKS YOU CAN AFFORD! |

Maybe $1.50 or $1.75 on gasoline. |
Filled up for 1.87 today. Probably the lowest I've paid in Florida since 2008.
|
Enjoy it while you can. According to our fleet manager who watches the market very closely, it's the middle east with their infinitely deep cash reserves that are flooding the market to get the price down to unprofitable levels to force their competition out of business.
