For what it's worth, I think this is a great board, which reflects well on the moderators. What are you saying is the potential problem with mods? That they don't permaban enough people?

I wish they had term limits on moderation. Maybe a 6 month rotation or something and that's not a knock on the mods but they must get burnt out doing a thankless job and putting out fires & let them get back in touch with being a regular poster.They've been working so hard. I'm actually 99 percent against banning posters. I can only think of a couple I would have ever banned for things I know about.

I think bwana, gonzo, and me would be a good start to a mod team. If gonzo ever comes back.

I don't think mods playing games like this is the way for this place to stay alive. If that's what's happening I find it downright disrespectful.

Seriously, I.view this place as a community just like my neighborhood. I tell them to **** off they leave me the **** alone, then when they need something I jump in and do everything I can do to help.

I think when a guy like tigerbob or clay starts dominating a thread you remove them from that thread. Three thread removals in a day should land then on mu for a week.

Mods should be heavily active posters and heavily active posters only. The mods who show up once every two months should be demoted and then replaced with new members in a vote.

I'd settle for just ****ing active. Bwana is the only one we really see and is easily the model Mod.

I have no beef with Knowmo. He trolls, sure, but he isn't a major board spammer like TigerUppercut. He'll make a toll post in other threads here and there, but he mainly sticks to his Broncos thread.

And he is an absolute pro at rustling jimmies within that thread.

Tough ask. Typically posters that post a lot do so because they have strong opinions. Accordingly, objectivity can be compromised.

Yeah, that's probably true, but I appreciate that he's largely stuck to it. He was REALLY obnoxious for a couple years ago, but he's tolerable when he's locked in his own room.

We need new mods or this place is shit. Mods need to have balls enough for people to fight it out on the forum and get it over with.

No more safe space bullshit. Trolls are easy to spot, but this place was founded on a raucous disagreement and it needs to stay that way or just go the way of the old forums.
