Mayfield racking up trashtime stats

2 recovered onside kicks wouldn't be miracle enough.

I know he gets nothing for it, but man that toss to MacMillan was pretty. Garbage time or no, that was a friggen dime and the WR just didn't bring it in for him.

tk13 10-21-2024 09:10 PM

Tampa had another shot at the onside. That kicker is gonna keep a job just because he's great at the onside kick.

Chieftain 10-21-2024 09:11 PM

A weekly reminder that justin Herbert is 33–35 as a starter.

Yeah. And 88 was taking some big hits while making some great catches. But they were great partly because Baker's placement has been off and putting 88 in harm's way.

Bottom line, Bowles should've shut his offense down about three series ago and saved them some wear and tear.

And McMillan ran a crazy good route, was really a thing of beauty. Then he drops a perfect pass right into his hands.

Megatron96 10-21-2024 09:13 PM

He should. If they get a FG and kick a successful onside kick...

tk13 10-21-2024 09:14 PM

If Tampa can pick up a couple big chunk plays they can kick a FG and give themselves a chance. Especially with that kicker and the onside play. They're not completely dead.

And now Godwin's leg appears to be pointing the wrong way? That left leg looked like it was turned sideways as he was on his knees. I'm not so sure they're gonna show that again.

Just aces work, Bowles.

KC_Connection 10-21-2024 09:16 PM

Godwin down now, another guy who we may dodge in two weeks

tk13 10-21-2024 09:16 PM

Uh oh. There goes Godwin. It looked like his leg may be broken. Left leg looked weird at the end there.

philfree 10-21-2024 09:16 PM

Broke his leg.

Hark Clunt 10-21-2024 09:16 PM

oh wow great job getting chris godwin hurt for nothing

pugsnotdrugs19 10-21-2024 09:16 PM

Goodness they got Godwin hurt too now?

FloridaMan88 10-21-2024 09:16 PM

Bucs might be buyers in the WR trade market now.

rfaulk34 10-21-2024 09:16 PM

Yep. Broke. It was laying flat.

pugsnotdrugs19 10-21-2024 09:16 PM

It’s bad, player reactions tell you.

George Liquor 10-21-2024 09:16 PM

Sucks for Godwin, man that is stupid.

DRM08 10-21-2024 09:17 PM

Damn, that’s a rough way to end the game in garbage time.

Why Not? 10-21-2024 09:17 PM

Welp, Mahomes is 6-0 with no WR. Let’s see how Baker does the next few weeks. LOL

Chiefslifer72 10-21-2024 09:17 PM

That looked horrendous as it happened. Wow. I can't remember a season where there were this many injuries across the board.

notorious 10-21-2024 09:17 PM

Just how stupid is TB's coach.

I fire his ass for that. ****ing moron.

Gary Cooper 10-21-2024 09:17 PM

I don't wish injuries on any team (besides the ones I don't like) but Tampa will be much easier without Godwin or Evans. Their defense has looked weak tonight. That matchup in several weeks is looking better now. Especially after Watson got injured yesterday and possibly going up against a team with several solid WRs if healthy.

Bump 10-21-2024 09:18 PM

This game has been less than stellar.

pugsnotdrugs19 10-21-2024 09:18 PM

Hate this is how it comes to fruition but the Chiefs would have to royally **** up to not get to at least 9-0.

Goddamit, I was just saying to the TV that Bowles was an idiot for continuing to let the 1s stay out there. Same shit McVay did a coupe seasons ago that ended up costing the entire season.

JFC Bowles.

tk13 10-21-2024 09:18 PM

I don't know, they're gonna tear up Bowles for that but they're almost in FG range now. You take the quick FG and your kicker has given you a shot on every single onside. It was a long shot but the there was a shot.

pugsnotdrugs19 10-21-2024 09:20 PM

I mean tonight has been a season-sinking night for Tampa. They aren’t making the playoffs without those WRs for an extended period.

They had a shot to tie the game still, yeah. Probably a 1% chance at best, but he's gotta try to go for it.

Gary Cooper 10-21-2024 09:21 PM

Meanwhile, Roquan Smith continues to be healthy.

ReynardMuldrake 10-21-2024 09:22 PM

That was a nasty ****ing injury. Dude's foot was pointing the wrong way. I'm a little glad they didn't show a replay.

Yeah, I hear ya.

You're not wrong. You play to the end at that point.

Ugh, it just took the life completely out of these guys. They're just distraught.

Just get the one seed.

Hopefully the order is:

1. KC
2. Bal/Buf
3. Buf/Bal
4. Hou

Let Baltimore and Buffalo knock one of the other out.

Could not be less concerned about a green Houston team having to come play in Arrowhead against a rested Chiefs team.

Gotta try to still win the game if you have a chance. Not really any different than what the 49ers did yesterday down 2 TDs.

Agreed. I think Baltimore is the best team of the three but I’ll always take my chances with Lamar before Josh.

Well shit IDK, that Buffalo defense isn’t as good as normal either.

Chiefs can only stop themselves.

They had a better chance to win than the 49ers did yesterday when Shanahan was driving the field with Purdy down 16 with two minutes to go.

Again, no coach in the NFL does anything different there. Bowles is an idiot, but not because of that.
