Now you are just going a little overboard, but yeah, he sucks. I like that he plays hard though. Should have picked one out of Buck and Olivo to play 3/4 of the time and Pena the rest IMO. Pena blows though.

I am not going overboard. I have literally never seen anyone as terrible as he is. Half the time he tries to throw out a baserunner, he gets so excited he can't even grip the ball, and he drops it at home plate, resulting in an incredibly easy stolen base. When he does manage to actually release the ball, he throws at least six feet to the right of second base every single time, usually resulting in the ball going into center field.

Teams are starting to figure this out. Why do you think the Rangers and White Sox were stealing 4-5 times per game during the losing streak?

You absolutely are going overboard and the stats will back that up. If he missed 2nd base by 6 feet every time, he would have no runners thrown out and that's not the case. So exagerrate if you want, but don't deny it.

Yost on 610 now.

i heard Dave Owen is gone, if true, i like Yost better already, Owen was easily the worst 3rd base coach in the history of MLB

I heard that, too.

Why didn't we promote Rusty ****s to HC?

AirForceChief 05-15-2010 03:29 AM

A. Gordon actually playing well in LF? Producing at the plate? Could it be he's starting to produce; or is he a AAA+ talent doing what AAA+ talent does in the minors?

Anywho, last night he swatted two HRs and threw out a runner at home.

He's also hitting for averag, with power, and taking walks (OPS stands at 1.240!)

Encouraging.

I feel like everyone has forgotten Olivo's at bats. His plate approach is terrible, if you have a problem with yuni and you like olivo you are a reerun.

I think people liked the result of Olivo's at bats. He was more apt to hit a homer than Yuni so that seems to provide a bit more value.

Gordon is doing what gordon always does at AAA, he has the minor league pitchers mastered.

boogblaster 05-15-2010 09:47 AM

Royals are a AAA team ....

Owens is a sickness for sure. But the team is comprised of idiots with little baseball acumen. Running the bases isn't something like decoding a genome. That's the true disease.

You can live with a couple of slow guys. Couple that with lazy, stupid and lack of a fundamental understanding of the game and it's a killer.

He's always completely destroyed minor league pitching. I guess none of the MLB advance scouts have told their minor league teams about Alex's gigantic hole in his swing.
