I like the Patriots pick I think they cover that easily.
And of course the Chiefs pick is wrong:Poke: I hope ...

That's why the Colts spread is so high. The Texans beat the Colts in the opener last year by 10 points WITH Manning in there. The Colts beat them later by 13. I think spread is too high now, though. Kerry Collins isn't close to Manning, but he's not the worst QB, either. The Colts still have a lot of weapons on offense. There is talent on that team, and they know they have to give 110% with Manning out. I don't know about this year, but the Texans had the worst pass defense in the NFL last year. They may have trouble with their switch of defensive schemes out of the gate. Arian Foster is questionable, which could be big. Could be a trap game for the Texans, and they may not be as motivated in this game with Manning out and them expecting to win. Maybe.

I feel good about the Patriots spread - I think that's my best pick too, which is why it'll be the one that probably kills me. As far as the Bills pick goes...well, you know how that goes. I think +6.5 points is enough to cover...I obviously think that. We are talking about money here. The Bills could lose by six points, and I'd still win. Could be a close game.

It's a parlay. If all three cover the spread, I win $110 on a $20 bet. I'll lay down bigger bets once it becomes clearer who is who.

Problem I have with Parlays on the NFL is that its just that, the NFL. You could lay out 50 pages of why those 3 bets make sense. I just don't like my money depending on 3 NFL games turning out like they should. Even with Parlay odds, I wouldn't be comfortable with that.

Try a six-team parlay. Now that's tough. I've hit those before...gotta get lucky to do that no matter who you are. The odds are 500-1. I do a thing every week where I bet 15 games against the spread, college and pros. It costs $5, and you win $100,000 if you guess them all right. Pick 20 teams right, and you get a million dollars. Yeah, it's a waste of $5, but so is buying lotto tickets. To me, I'm paying $5 to be entertained.

I like to bet, though. Makes it more interesting. Sometimes I'll do a teaser card, where you pick against the spread, only points are added to the spread, so the odds go down and so do your winnings. Last year I hit on a 7-teamer ties win teaser card, but all my teams covered the regular spread. In other words, I didn't need the extra 5-6 points...so if I would have filled out a parlay card with the same picks, I would have had $4000 instead of $400.

Money-lines are fun, where you get a certain amount of points depending on who you pick straight-up - picking the Colts and Vikings this week would drive the price way up, but, on the other hand, picking the Vikings would be stupid probably.

Sometimes I'll bet off the board, just one team against the spread. That's probably the best way to do it. The problem with that is you have to wager more to win any kind of money.

I'm also in two football pools, where I could win REALLY big money every week and even more than that at the end of the year. Only $25 to sign up for the whole year in each. I'm by no means a degenerate gambler, but I do have fun with it, and I come out ahead in the long run mostly.

My sources deep within are indicating that the Kansas City Chiefs are playing something called a real NFL schedule this year and will be a team that will miss the playoffs in 2011 that made the playoffs in 2010 and crash to a 6-10 record.

Many Chiefs fans here could not be reached for comment, as they are watching youtube videos of Trent Edwards prepping for the game tomorrow, despite the fact that Edwards is not the starting quarterback for the Buffalo Bills.

I always play 4 teamers.
IT's like that for me also.
Lose on the 1st game I circle, the sure thing. And end up winning the 4th
game I thought was iffy picking a 7 point dog who wins out right.
Years ago my friend and I are looking over a parlay and his sister walks in the room and says " I want to play one too"
She proceeds to pick SF because she liked the restaurants..Another team because she liked their symphony...Against another team because she got stuck at their airport. My buddy and I were laughing.
So of course what happens she wins my friend and I lost 3 of 4 on each of ours.
And just to piss us off she would break out the money she won and count it in front of us.

I guess they aren't playing a "real team" on Sunday then ROFL. You hosers already play in Toronto, maybe give the CFL a chance eh?

Is "hosers" even a word? That does not surprise me to see that 'word' used , given the lack of intellect I have already read in this thread.

I am honestly sad that you are going to lose your team to Toronto before it's all said and done. I am not trying to troll at all. It's sad. But the fans have to support the team in a small market if you want to keep it. Your fan base just isn't that passionate about the Bills. It's a damn shame too.

You are truly an ignorant fool. The Buffalo Bills attendance numbers are strong, despite not making the playoffs for 11 seasons.

Losing the team to Toronto? Please, keep dreaming. And keep dreaming that Matt Cassel will ever become anything more then a below average quarterback.

You have Ryan Fitzpatrick. Why on earth are you talking QB trash?

Because Ryan Fitzpatrick makes more plays then checkdown Cassel, that is why.

Is that why he had Fewer TDs, Fewer yards, A lower average per attempt, a lower completion percentage, More INTs and a lower Rating all while losing 4 more games? There is not ONE statistical category where Fitzpatrick was better than Cassel including WINS.

Thanks for playing.

Cassel may not be great, but he's absolutely better than Fitzpatrick.

Cassel had 4 TD's against Denver and Seattle each, and 3 TD's against Tennessee.

Against real defenses?

At Indy: 16-29 156 yards 0 TD
Baltimore playoffs? 9-18 70 yards 3 INT
San Diego? 10-22 68 yards, that was a 100% lucky special teams win

Winning? Not because of Cassell, look at that schedule closer. It was a joke.

San Diego walks with this division.

That still doesn't prove Fitzgerald to be the better player.
What has Fitz done that I should be in awe of?....NOTHING.
