young was also great, he was everywhere and let Smart know early that we weren't ****ing around

EJ, Withey, Releford, and Young really did come to play in a big game. That's a very good sign.

They hadn't truly played a great team in a game like this since OSU in December, so this should help them going forward.

Withey was a man amongst boys tonight. He saved our asses in both OTs.

If only BMac wouldn't have disappeared.

Absolutely. He was money from the stripe.

I don't think the numbers say everything about Tharp's play. But I digress. If EJ can continue to play like he did tonight and also Saturday against Texas then KU will be in good shape. I have been saying it all year that he needs to drive to the hoop a lot more.

And WTF happened to Bmac tonight? I never thought I'd see him lack confidence like that. We really could have used his scoring. Glad we found a way to win despite that.

Yep. It's what he's done in every big game for the last 2 years and he did it again tonight. Hope we'll see a lot more of it down the stretch (or at least in the tournament again).

EJ has been hitting the hole this whole time. The problem was that the ball wasn't dropping.

He was awful, except when it really mattered at the end. So, I'll take it, but it's obvious there's a lot of growing he needs to do.
