In all honesty, if AS does go to the Chiefs, I don't think it will be as bad as you guys are making it out to be (flame suit on):
I think if the Chiefs trade for AS, that def means they're going to draft a qb (unfortunately, prob not the first round which continues the streak). But who better to learn under for a year or two, AS has seen it all, and we have seen what he can do with decent to good coaching (Norv Turner as his OC, Harbaugh). AS know variations of the WCO...he's not going to be sensational but he will win games (think elite game manager...good lord I hate that term). He is definitely better than Cassel, but think of him more of a bridge to your future QB who will sit behind him...it worked out well for us (49ers) |

Was Smith better with the 9ers than Cassel with the Pats?
Didn't think so. |

I got my number from PFR. And even 207 YPG isn't impressive in the least. At 207, he's still worse than Cassel who averaged 213 YPG (taking out the game he was injured in like you did). And no, the 6-2 number doesn't impress me at all seeing as how his defense allowed 12 ****ing points per game in those 8 games he did play and finish. |
