I know that watching Holland there was reminiscent of Broxton last year, but something about Holland makes me think he'll turn it around, but Broxton was a piece of trash the entire time with no hope.

THIS.

so having Holland walk a bunch of guys in the 8th is somehow better than in the 9th?

I'm sorry...Greg Holland pitched good enough as a closer in 2012 to earn a few blown saves, especially in April, in 2013.

Right now he has blown 1 save. That's baseball. If he has two more ugly outings in a row and blows another save...then maybe you try and fix a problem...

right now? No. All he needs is 1 outing...and maybe this out was the key...

there's 162 freaking games

Yeah but he came through when he needed too against one of the toughest K's in the league in the rain and with a Ump that is blind as batshit...

earns him another go

LMAO

Broxton was fine last year as a closer...about league average. He got the job done, and is getting the job done for Cincy now in the 8th.

You guys...just wow

apparently there should be Craig Kimbrel's growing on trees in closerville

13 straight starts for JG without a loss. Ties a Royals record.

Hootie 04-09-2013 09:09 PM

lots to be excited about as a Royals fan...

still think we should have Gordon batting 2nd or 3rd

Nice....and he went deep....I am liking this shit where our starters go more than 4 innings and stuff

Stanley Nickels 04-09-2013 09:09 PM

I'd love to see any pitcher show dominant control of a squeezed zone in a downpour.

When is the last time the Royals were two games over .500?
