I will say that, yeah, my biggest issue was how quickly it all went by.

I thought we could have seen more between Boston and Kansas City at the very least.

That’s my only issue for how they did season 1, they spent over a year announcing it, I understand with the history of video games turned in shows not doing well they were hesitant to throw a bunch of money at it, but they did such a good job it’s a bummer it wasn’t twice as long.

Season 1 needed to be 2 seasons.

There are already a lot of complaints in this very thread about filler episodes. Unless they get attacked or in some wacky hijinks at every stop there's not a great way to stretch it out much further.

There’s only so many episodes you can have of them sneaking around infected. Could they have shown it more? Yeah. But it would have gotten old quick.

I can agree here but it definitely was still really good to great. It definitely felt rushed more towards the end. Still love it and hope season 2 is a little more fleshed out.

I really wish they would have had the Firefly’s find Ellie and Joel like they did in the game.

I agree in general, though. I’d have liked to see more infected, more sneaking around infected, more apocalyptic urban backdrops, more raiders and marauders, etc. Unfortunately the budget wasn’t cut out for all of that and people would have complained about it being slow if they focused on character development moments so it’s not a big deal for me.

Finished watching the series and can say it honestly did not reach the high ground for me that this thread lead me into expecting. Don't get me wrong it wasn't bad by any means but the hype is WAY overblown.

I'd put right with The Walking Dead season one popcorn fun. They need to put a cape on Joel just make him a little more super human.
