Yeah well most people, even the drunk ones, know better than to drive 156 in a 25mph zone.

Not to be "that guy", but...
I think you meant "Dumb, Unacceptable, and Ignorant"

I think there are levels of drunk going from being buzzed and trying to be cautious to full on blackout drunk like Ruggs. Maybe he was trying to kill himself at the moment.

I was doing something dumb and grabbed the brakes a bit at probably 105-110 and it felt like I was strapped to a Saturn 5. Those bad pads trying to grab onto warped rotors at high speed just put an ungodly shudder through the car.

LMAO

How would putting that in new cars pretty much eliminate drunk driving? Do you think the majority of drunk drivers are buying new vehicles? Do you think the majority of drunk drivers make such good choices that they are killing it financially?

In reality it would make a small dent in the issue, a very small dent, if you could even get anyone to try and make it happen. Great idea in theory but so is forcing people to take a common sense test before having kids.

I’m sure that mandate will go over real well.

Every time was on a 4 lane divided hyw with little traffic at the time and I always made sure I didn't have to pass anyone. It didn't take much room to get going that fast.
There's a time and place where you can drive a car that fast and inside a city, let alone a neighborhood, isn't it. I used to crave that adrenalin rush, even after I was no longer a young man. Building and racing my own car on the local tracks took care if the craving. Saved me a lot of problems and money in the long run.

I had a 92 3000GT VR-4. My buddy had a TT Stealth. My God those cars were fun.
