If Taylor is going to be your LT, you would draft Jones for RT. That's where he played at OSU.

Skip's only saying that because OBJ went to Oklahoma.

If Hitler went to Oklahoma, Skip would champion him, too.

Did Adam Teicher ghost write this?

It does sound like him. I guess I respect that fact that Teicher's hard earned pessimism has not been swayed by the last 6 years of success.

He gave up 5 sacks last year, that's, not nothing... not the best stat imo.

Reid, Mahomes, and Thuney will get that number down. The pressure stat is encouraging.

Maybe. Maybe not. How many of those 5 sacks came before the loss to KC.

Lawrence was a lot slower with his decision making earlier in the year.

lol

I'm just saying that stat doesn't scream elite to me, what am I missing?

staylor26 03-14-2023 10:21 AM

Taylor gave up very few pressures, it just so happens that an abnormal percentage of those resulted in sacks.

LOL WUT

I mean, he's not a statue back there but he's not a great pocket manipulator either.

The RGR guys said that 4 of the 5 sacks were against Philly & Chiefs, the two best teams in the league. Only 1 sack against the rest of the league.

It says a lot about Taylor that the Chiefs were pretty successful against him and still wanted him on a big money deal.

Which it sounds like these numbers go in the opposite direction for KC. Mahomes is hard to sack even when our line gets beat. Makes it difficult to evaluate how the line is playing through just stats.

Taylor shutdown Bosa and Crosby.

scho63 03-14-2023 10:27 AM

Trent Williams - 93.0 on PFF
Orlando Brown - 75.8 on PFF
Jawaan Taylor - 58.7 on PFF
Laremy Tunsil - 80.0 on PFF

This looks damn accurate
