They need to give him the hook as quickly as the first earned run crosses the plate.

David Lough is starting to remind me of Aaron Guiel in 2003.

Guiel seemed like a suitable temporary solution in the outfield until we could bring in somebody better. But, months later, we all slowly started to realize that he was one of the most important players on the team.

A better option would be to not run him out there in the first place. But, I don't know how to replace him right now. I don't have that answer. Wish I did.

Danny Duffy should be up already unless there is some mlb service time issue. I would also be fasttracking zimmer. Stretching out will smith is another viable option for 2014. Also, we could look at stretching out coleman and/or crow next year.

There is no answer right now, and to complicate matters we have the DM/NY stubbornness thing to deal with. That being said, as they approach .500 again, one has to wonder if they are might be tired of the floggings they get when their favorite players blow it (again). That doesn't mean they have an alternative as a starter, but it might mean that the hook might come much sooner. It'll add wear on the bullpen, but if it's for one game (and they bring somebody up), it might be worth it.
