yeah easily the best masters of the 2020s so far. scottie winning multiple jackets on cruise control wasn't the best. dustin's pandemic masters was pretty blah as well.

Rahm won his in a blowout and Hideki closed his lead reasonably well too. Had been waiting 6 years for today.

Carded 4 double-bogeys over the four days and won a green jacket.

Never been a huge Rory fan, but give me that over steady and boring all day long.

Career Grand Slam puts him on the Mt. Rushmore of golf.

All of the majors and the Ryder cup I will watch the final round.

My buddies and I normally golf on Sunday afternoons except for those days and Easter Sunday, when I have family stuff all day.

I like watching the majors but the masters is in a class by itself.

Kids were talking about how much Rory does not get with winning.

about 50% taken out for taxes...is there a luxury tax in Georgia?

then caddy, agent, sponsors? trainer, expenses....etc.

He should sign with LIV now that he's locked into all of the majors going forward for a while (and you know they are going to try). I expect that'll solve any money issues he might have.

If there was anyone on the PGA Tour that has ZERO chance of signing with LIV, it's Rory. He doesn't need money. And he absolutely hates everything about it. At this point, I think it's pretty clear not even getting someone like Rory would make that tour popular anyways. They'd just be lighting more money on fire, which they apparently don't really care about too much to begin with.

Did Jon Rahm "need" the money? Did Phil Mickelson? Did Bryson? Did Brooks? Everybody has a price and there's not one reason to think Rory McIlroy is any different.

None of them have Rory's money. Well, maybe Phil does but he's also gambled a lot of it away and he's on the backside of his career and wanted the attention.

Furthermore, none of them were anywhere near as anti-LIV as Rory, who continues to be the face of the PGA. Sure, he's softened his stance a little in the last year in regards to not straight up hating everyone who bolted....but there's not a chance in hell he would ever move tours. There's just zero reason for him to do such a thing.

Zero reason, eh? You think if the Saudis offer Rory a 5 year deal to play golf for a billion dollars that he's not going to at least think about it? Why? Out of some sense of loyalty to the tour?

Rahm more or less said LIV was a joke and that he would never consider leaving the PGA Tour. He signed a deal for hundreds of millions of dollars with it within the same year.

They are professional golfers who play golf for money. It's completely within the realm of possibility.

Why didn't Tiger Woods take the money then?

I'd imagine they didn't meet his price. Everybody has one, including and especially Tiger Woods.

Woods reportedly turned down between $700 and $800 million from LIV.

Yes, it must be nice to be rich enough to be able to do that. Do you think Rory is as rich as Tiger Woods? Do you think his price is as high as Tiger's?

We may find out soon because you know another offer is coming.
