If Fuller stays, I assume that means there's a better chance that the guys currently at Mizzou and in the pipeline will stay and that also helps jump start Anderson's D1 recruiting program. That seems like a plus.

DeArmond is pretty certain this was known coming into today.
No multiple contracts to approve. They knew they were presenting Kim Anderson to the BoC today. |

If you want to depress yourself, think of all the head basketball coaches that Mike Alden COULD have hired at one point or another. LMAO

I've seen Kim Anderson speak in public. I've been to Mizzou camps where he showed up and spoke and did some coaching. He's not exactly Mr. Personality. Let's say Missouri is in a recruiting battle for a kid from St. Louis with Illinois. Let's just pretend Missouri has hired Corey Tate to be its primary guy in St. Louis. Illinois is sending its St. Louis ace down there (whose name escapes me at the moment). John Groce makes an appearance pretty often, too. He's actively involved in that recruiting. On the other hand, the only guy that kid hears from at Mizzou is Corey Tate, because Anderson is just there to X and O, and Tate and Fuller are the recruiters. That's going to be a factor for a lot of kids. Maybe not ALL kids, but a lot. |
Side note:
One of the assistants will be Brad Loos, who was with Anderson at CMSU. I'm sure he will also be a dynamite recruiter at the D1 level. |
Also for Mizzou fans, I understand the backlash in hiring Anderson. Alden had his shot at doing that 15 years ago, passed. Had a shot 8 years ago, passed. Had a shot 3 years ago, passed. Now with the last 2 coaches bailing on Mizzou, it's pretty ****ing evident that Alden doesn't want Mizzou to be left on the curb and be some coach's side bitch.
While the hiring leaves much to be desired, how is it worse than hiring a POS like Floyd? |
