Lee??? Sure, had we tried (and not been seen as a joke. Why not? Are you saying the Royals are good enough for a good player? Thome... I just threw the name out there because he's kicked our pitching staff's arse on mor ethan a few occasions, I don't care what the name is, i'm looking for a bat that shouldn't fizzle when it puts on Royals blue... If you do like Jim, just replace it with a persone who can hit a MLB pitch - so far the Royals don't have many who can! He's got more promise in 2011-2015 than 97.63% of what we call prospects. So 40 or not, he can play.. |
I was pretty encouraged by all the outstanding press our farm system has been getting. But after reading Gloydayz's posts, I'm just pissed we haven't leveraged that farm system and our future to get Jim Thome.

There was an interview with GMDM tonight on the local news (NBC 41.) He said he expects to be around .500 this year, and also said the Royals are closer then people think when asked if the focus was on 2014.

If we're around .500 this year, DeezNutz will eat DM's underwear for dinner.

Of course many of you have probably already done that on my behalf so I'm not giving up that much. :D I really want 2012 to be special. The All Star Game and some young-uns establishing themselves. |

If the Royals even win 75 games, I'll consider myself an idiot in terms to baseball. |
I just don't see it either. It would be great if some guys make it up to the majors and made the second half of the season exciting, but it ain't happening with the big league roster the way it stands now.
