Mark Sanchez... successive winning seasons as a starting QB with the NY Jets and his team won in the playoffs.

So obviously DaneMcVagina considers him to be a "franchise QB".

Alex Smith is closer to "Matt Cassel with wins" than franchise QB.

Sadly, Smith shows enough competence while flashing now and again just enough to make some people think he is more than he is.
Being on a loaded, depth-filled team that can cover your ass more than you can cover theirs does not make you a "franchise QB".

This is absolutely silly.

Can't we all just sit around the campfire and sing 'Kumbaya' as friends?

Who do you perceive to be friends?
Seems like there is a contingent more intent on berating and belittling people for the fan sin of supporting someone they hate, than participating in a BB community or even discussing football.

Just applying your stated definition of what a franchise QB is.

Mark Sanchez

Bubby Brister

Neil O'Donnell

Steve Bono

All would be defined as "franchise QB's" using your definition of the term to describe Alex Smith.

LMAO

If you think that is what Dane meant you are an even bigger moron than I thought. Does it hurt being so stupid?

I'm
Oh but there are more examples of past shitty QB's that fit your definition of a "franchise QB".

Jake Plummer?

Successive winning seasons? Check

10+ game winning seasons? Check

LMAO

No one cares what you think, least of all, me.

But hey, hindsight is 50/50, right?

Actually Alex Smith is nothing at all like Matt Cassell. And since you don't seem to understand how football works, WINNING IS THE OBJECT OF THE GAME.

JFC

Awww, cmon, BL...we can still be friends and still argue the relative contribution of our QB. To this day, I'm still not sure if it's Alex, Andy or a combination of both. What I DO know, however, this team should not have lost to Tampa and Tennessee and that puts KC in the #5 slot. It makes the trip to the Superbowl that much more difficult.

But, hey...come on over here for a bro hug.

Teams always have inexplicable losses and unexpected wins.

Welcome to the NFL.

1. Every team loses games they shouldn't. If it always went the way it is expected there would be no reason to play the games. And there would be no sports books in Vegas.

2. The playoff position hasn't been decided yet. You are implying it is, which is dishonest IMO.

Fair point..trade San Diego in week 1 and Atlanta for TB and Titans...it's just frustrating to get the 1995 stank on this team.

The Tennessee game was a perfect storm.

Heck, the game could have been won going away if Berry hadn't alligator armed a pop fly at shallow center field for the first time in his career.

Love Berry, but Kendrick Lewis could have made that interception.

you got me...the games havent been played tomorrow. If KC controlled their destiny, I would be more optimistic about their prospects.

Stop living in 1995. It LITERALLY has no impact on this season.
