He can't make PGA tournaments now due to injury, so why would he be able to make events?

KC_Connection 04-14-2025 12:51 PM

Tiger's estimated net worth is 1.3 billion. Rory isn't close to that right now, but I think I know one way he could get there quicker.

Yes, it must be nice to be rich enough to be able to do that. Do you think Rory is as rich as Tiger Woods? Do you think his price is as high as Tiger's?

We may find out soon because you know another offer is coming.

Outside of winnings, McIlroy signed a 10 year, $200 million endorsement deal with Nike in 2017.

And he has a 10-year, $100 million endorsement deal with TaylorMade.

Wonder what he makes sucking cock in clubhouse

The Masters tournament has been a master at marketing their event.

The secrecy, the mystique, the deliberate holding back on info and refusal to expand coverage.

Super Bowl
Masters
Daytona
Indy
Kentucky Derby

Greatest events in the sports year. (no particular order)

Not a huge Rory fan - generally root against Euro's - but he is MILES better than that saggy-titted colin montgomerie. I couldn't stand that guy. Glad he never won a PGA event - let alone a major.

I was surprised at the support for Rory yesterday. I heard more than a few Rory chants.

The fan support was much more evenly split than I expected.

In general for me the list would be

The World Cup
UEFA Final
Super Bowl
The Masters
Final 4
NBA Finals
Stanley Cup
Olympic summer games
French Open

The World Cup is generally considered the top viewing draw in the world but it only happens every 4 years.

I Forgot that guy and wasn't a fan either.

An Euro golfer I enjoyed was Ian Woosnam.

I never root for the Euros. Can't stand them except for Rory. Rory didn't take the Saudi money and he became the face of the PGA Tour. He took on lot's of responsibility and scrutiny doing that and I appreciate that. So glad he got his Grand Slam win. Good for him.

Why do people reiterate this falsehood about Augusta every year? They have the fewest commercials of anyone, you can watch every group play multiple holes on their app, and you don't miss a single significant drive or approach.

Yeah I like Rory. Can't help it.

Justin Rose does a great interview but he's kind of a whiney entitled guy on the course. Hes always telling people to be quiet and that they are too loud. Backs off alot and scoffs if he thinks it is too loud. I dunno not the worst but seems like a douche.

Yep...For the longest time the fan sitting at home had no idea what the front nine looked like as they only broadcast holes 10-18. Plus they only broadcast on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. if somebody made a run in a morning round, you could only see it on highlights.

That's true, but you've been able to see the entirety of the leaders play since 2004. In fact, the 1986 Masters showed the last 14 holes of the leaders.
