It's about reputation. The SEC needs to keep winning. The SEC's reputation and consistent demolition of other conferences and teams is what causes Florida to jump Michigan in 2006, LSU to merge out of a mess in 2007, Florida to get the nod over USC & Texas in 2008, Bama to get a rematch in 2011, and what would have caused Florida to go this year if Pittsburgh holds on against ND.
