Taken with a Samsung S4, so not the greatest quality. But I was out on a bike ride and saw these two hawks resting under tree. I was probably not more than 12-15 feet away.

I think the hawk on the left may have been injured and the hawk on the right was staying with it.

The quality of the picture was made even worse because I zoomed in pretty far to be able to see their faces better. I wish I had had a better camera on me at the time.

Just a mid-level point and shoot (Canon PowerShot SX260 HS). Someone with a real camera could get some crazy shots at that place.

Here's this in case it's actually useful. (It's mostly greek to me.)

I have a PowerShot SD750, and it is wonderful when diving or when lugging a 20D isn't practical.

Great shot...

Love the black and white. Frame it...

The tiger is awesome too. Would dodge the foreground grass a touch before printing..

Thanks. I really dig that black and white one, too. And that tiger was hamming it up, I was really pleased with the pic, considering I was shooting through plexiglass.

I'm figuring ur pretty Photo Shop savvy, so you prolly know how to either dodge, blur, or burn the grass, but it's worth a try...

I do, thanks for the tip. :)

When Mrs FMB! gets off the computer, I'll do a little more Lightroom work. My histogram on the raw file is great - no clipping, so I can do a lot with that file.
