We've tried him in the #3 spot several times.....dude is just bad ass at leadoff so leave him the **** there! If it ain't broke, quit trying to fix it.

I bet Barry Bonds would have been an awesome leadoff man...probably Albert Pujols, too.

arguably your best hitter who LEAD THE MLB IN DOUBLES LAST YEAR is a waste at leadoff...

your leaving runs on the board

I'm just saying.

Gordon is a 3 hitter. That's where he belongs.

yeah, so dumb

we have a guy who hits constant extra base hits and we're batting him leadoff

just doesn't make sense...Gordon should be in the 3 hole

In his career, he's OPS'ing .100 higher in the leadoff spot than the 3 hole in roughly the same number of at bats.

so he has a Greinke level mindset?

Sweet.

I'd leave the lineup alone. It's doing fine.

I like having 9 batters in my lineup, but that's just me.

I agree...

I just am pointing out that, Alex Gordon, when playing to his potential, is the ideal #3 hitter for a ML club.

So it's not that your idea is wrong, it's that there's something wrong with Gordon.

JFC, will you SHUT UP. Your ADD-addled brain is going HYPER right now.

Yes, that's exactly what it means.

It may be that the patient mindset you take as the leadoff hitter suits him. It may mean absolutely nothing. Regardless, he's an .886 OPS guy at the leadoff spot. I'll take that. With other guys that can drive him in now in the middle of the lineup, it works.
