Nope. Not even close. It doesn't compare. You can never feel the heat of the fire blasts as they introduce the players, or the excitement of hearing the crowd roar at the far end of the field before you know that play over there was a first down, or high five a stranger on your way to the beer cart.

I have a 75" with full surround sound, woofers, 7 speakers, etc in my basement and I would rather be at the game.

In my mind, suffering through the cold and getting freezing rain dumped on me after waiting an hour to park and trying to dole our grilled wings to a bunch of semi-strangers and walking up that spiral ramp with so much optimism and then spending three hours yelling so I have no voice at work the next day is all part of my plight as a #truefan.

Just for the chance to see it live as it happens. To chant the tomahawk chop as you walk back down that ramp and out to the lot after a victory. To have your hand sore from hi-fiving so many other fans: Yesterday's strangers who are today's best friends.

Nothing can beat that.

but that's just me.

He sends that video to Howard Stern and immediately joins the Wack Pack.

It was even that way at the Ga Dome only dialed down from the intensity of Arrowhead (obviously) - but the live factor is f'ing awesome, I love it! By the way - how bad is the weather currently?

Simply Red 01-13-2017 11:41 PM

we represented in the Georgia dome hard, must have been 15k Chief fans there!

Just took my dog out to pee. there was some rain. I noticed the stone walkway was slippery.

Frozen ice come, it has. (Yoda voice)

I hope the Utility companies in the KC area do better than the one in Springfield.
We go about 1 millimeter of ice this morning and my power was off for 11 hours. I could not believe it. No ice on the streets or sidewalks. Just a light coating on tree branches, none were sagging that I could see. And it took 11 fricking hours to get the power back on. What a bunch of Jack Offs.

3 years experience living in Alaska and driving on those roads

Plenty of candles

Fresh batteries in the lantern

Plenty of food

Incredible collection of books

Camp stove fueled by tons of fuel pellets, no shortage there

I can hunker down for several days if necessary

My only hope is that the worst of it misses Arrowhead, please dont gimme an ice storm that kills crowd turnout and turns the game into a slopfest that favors LeVeon Bell

I thought the slop would hurt bell, wouldn't do us any good either

be careful out there is the shit weather guys

Gosh I just hope it melts and doesn't get thicker, we need you guys there in mass numbers, and safely so!

It's better to be there live. I don't think I'll be making it up to the night game, as I don't think my 830 pt monday morning would like her dentist to be running on about 3 hours of sleep after getting home at 4 am.

Sucks.

I absolutely love this guy, he has been doing reports for the northern midwest for years and he pops up on my FB feed any time a storm is a comin. His unbridled enthusiasm cracks me up and you can tell he is pumped and genuinely stoked to do it.

/zero sarcasm or laughing/mocking him, I think he's awesome

Titty Meat 01-14-2017 12:07 AM

Looks like were already getting a slight coat. Sucks I really wanna get home tomorrow.
