Nope. Not even close. It doesn't compare. You can never feel the heat of the fire blasts as they introduce the players, or the excitement of hearing the crowd roar at the far end of the field before you know that play over there was a first down, or high five a stranger on your way to the beer cart.
I have a 75" with full surround sound, woofers, 7 speakers, etc in my basement and I would rather be at the game.
In my mind, suffering through the cold and getting freezing rain dumped on me after waiting an hour to park and trying to dole our grilled wings to a bunch of semi-strangers and walking up that spiral ramp with so much optimism and then spending three hours yelling so I have no voice at work the next day is all part of my plight as a #truefan.
Just for the chance to see it live as it happens. To chant the tomahawk chop as you walk back down that ramp and out to the lot after a victory. To have your hand sore from hi-fiving so many other fans: Yesterday's strangers who are today's best friends.
Nothing can beat that.
but that's just me.
