Mosbonian 03-09-2012 10:56 PM

Been watching this game on ESPN 3 and the Big East tourney on the TV....2 teams I wouldn't want to play right now is Cincinnati and Louisville. Both are on a roll....Louisvile is playing a smotherin defense

stonedstooge 03-09-2012 10:57 PM

Jesus DEnmon

mnchiefsguy 03-09-2012 10:57 PM

Damn Denmon...you can't miss that!

petegz28 03-09-2012 10:58 PM

Denmon just having an off night

DonkyPuncher 03-09-2012 10:58 PM

I hope Denmon comes out of his funk tomorrow... assuming we win tonight

petegz28 03-09-2012 10:58 PM

Hey, it's ok if Denmon has an off night as long as we win. He'll light it up tomorrow.

mnchiefsguy 03-09-2012 10:59 PM

Dixon with a big three. Lead up to 13.

DonkyPuncher 03-09-2012 10:59 PM

Might have to, that deep bruise isn't going to feel good tomorrow for Kimmie

It is possible, but the consensus seems to be that beating ISU put them in. If they lose, they will not sleep particularly well tonight.

DonkyPuncher 03-09-2012 11:07 PM

:hmmm: Denmon

They think they got in by beating ISU last night

Spott 03-09-2012 11:08 PM

Gonna be nice to beat UT 3 times in basketball and beat them in football on our way out. The only thing nicer will be to beat Baylor for the title tomorrow.

Well, you know, these conference tourneys are just for fun and don't mean much. Just ask KU fans.

English looked like he was moving better. Hopefully he is okay.

You never know, we might see a Big XII team in the tourney. With six teams in, Mizzou could very well have a fellow Big XII school in their region.

Kimmie might be gimpy tomorrow, but if it is just a bruise, then he should be ready to for the big tourney, and that is what is important.

He was moving pretty good at the end of the game, so hopefully he will be okay.

Pitt Gorilla 03-09-2012 11:21 PM

We need to turn off the lights on the way out.

gblowfish 03-09-2012 11:21 PM

Hopefully Denmon can step up for Kim English tomorrow. Kimmie's going to be sore as hell tomorrow.

mnchiefsguy 03-09-2012 11:23 PM

Bracketology blog update...KU is down to the 4th #1 seed...the door is open. I still think Mizzou might wind up #2 in the midwest.

Denmon should have a good game tomorrow. I don't see him having two bad games in a row.

I think Kansas fans are really glad that KU lost today so they wouldn't have to take a pounding tomorrow

I don't know about that.

As a KU fan I wanted to play MU one more time. But we got our butts beat tonight. Baylor played a great basketball game. If they play tomorrow night with that intensity, should be a good game.

Hope English is able to play tomorrow night. He sounded a little bitter after the game about the play and I'll bet that hes gonna hurt alot in the morning.

Good luck to you guys.

COTY Self did not get his guys ready to play. He even admitted that the players did not listen to the scouting report.

Haith had Mizzou ready to go. Interesting that both Self and Hoiberg had their teams under perform this weekend, and Haith has his guys playing on all cylinders.

That does not sound good. Hopefully he can play through the pain.

I thought that too. He is normally not like that.

I'm sure some stuff was said during the game to make him think that.

You're disconnected from reality.

Had a great time at the Sprint Center for this one. I wanted to play KU one more time in the final, but it was just as sweet watching them lose and then seeing their fans outside the arena dumping their championship tickets.

ROFL

No, I wanted to play again. I think it would have been an awesome game to be at (and I still have my tickets for tomorrow, Baylor/Missouri should be great too). But I can't say I'm too broken up about the fact that the rivalry supposedly ended with the amazing KU/MU OT game at AFH.

ROFL

Bought 7 tickets for $60/piece in the lower bowl tomorrow.

Gotta think those would've cost me a fair amount more had KU not yacked that one up.

Though like most, I wanted another shot at KU (or honestly, KSU). On the flipside, I'm thinking Baylor probably wanted another shot at Mizzou, so this may not be the best news for Missouri fans.

I can't imagine us keeping Jones under wraps again.

ThatRaceCardGuy 03-10-2012 02:15 AM

Congrats MU . Cant say I`m not dissapointed KU and MU aren't playing in the final..but Baylor kicked our butts. I`m rooting for Baylor, but I wont be hurt if you guys win...hopefully MU and KU can meet up down the road in the big dance!

Baylor seems to have remembered they have a ton of talent. This is not the same team that KU and MU swept.

By this logic, since you think Haith is NCOY, he fails if he doesn't win the NC.

gblowfish 03-10-2012 08:32 AM

Denmon and English are both banged up. Except for Matt Pressey tweaking an ankle a couple games ago, Mizzou's been pretty lucky to stay injury free. Since they only go seven deep, having guys get hurt really puts a hammer on them. I watched English's injury this AM. It looked accidental to me. And it looked like it got him up towards the hip, so hopefully it will just be a bad bruise and nothing serious. Denmon's ankle may be a bigger concern. It would be a damn shame to come this far and then have two of your seniors get stopped or slowed by injuries. Time to sack up and do this, Mizzou. I'm very proud of my Tigers.

Yet Coach K, Roy, and Izzo make the final four on a regular basis. Underachieving teams call it a crap shoot when they want to pretend that they are truly elite.

Tourney is a crapshoot, but those imaginary peach basket titles in the 20's sure were earned!!! KU would have another 5 or even 6 titles if only the Helm foundation voted on the champ every year...bitches!!

gblowfish 03-10-2012 08:56 AM

It's the final dance in the Big 12 for Mizzou. I think I need to sing about it!
