I don't know. I don't listen to many if any baseaball managers conferences outside KC, but I imagine it's similar to football. For every Reid/Herm that are media friendly there is a Todd Haley.

Well, you lose a lot of baseball games. I can't imagine each loss causing a total douche bag transformation. Just answer the damn questions without coming across as superior to everyone in the room and pretending like every legit questions is reeruned... Mr. Ned "I've never been wrong on a prospect" Yost.

I think for the most part he was just very insecure. Perhaps this run will alter that a bit.

He might have the most victories, but he can't be the best manager until he brings home the ring.

(Not bashing Yost, but Dick Howser would easily be the greatest manager in club history if he had not fallen ill and died, and Dick did what no other manager in Royals history could do--even Whitey--he won a world series.)
