No, Frankamp literally didn't display any playmaking ability in his 225 minutes last year (only 15 assists all year). He did a fine job filling in for Tharpe in a tournament game against a terrible team when they needed somebody not to throw the ****ing ball away with some poise under pressure, but that's all he showed. This obviously doesn't mean he can't improve that area of his game, but right now, he's not exactly an ideal PG, nor is he somebody I'd be expecting all that much from in that regard in year 2.

I think the next four years are going to find us all split between Masonists and Frankampers.
I just totally disagree with you about Frankamp, and I feel like - if people don't see that he is much more of a naturally talented point guard than Mason or Tharpe, then they don't want to see it or aren't looking. Mason does one thing really well - he gets to the basket. But he doesn't FINISH really well, and he doesn't find his "outs" early enough. He'll leave his feet, realize he can't finish, and THEN look around to see if there's someone he can pass to.
Frankamp appears to know exactly what he is going to do before he does it. He starts to dribble knowing he's going to use a screen, knowing that he'll shoot it or where he'll pass it.
I understand that he didn't produce to the level I'm pumping him up. But if you told me I could have Frankamp, Mason, or Tharpe for the next three years... I'm taking Frankamp.
