I never watch baseball, but wow. I've been glued these last three innings. First time I've tuned in the entire playoffs. Craziness.

So that means it has to be Lohse or Carp.

Oh I thought they were out of arms. Could have sworn they said that on the broadcast.

How does walking the best hitter in the game in a clinching WS game with a 1 run lead and the tying run in scoring position not make the absolute most sense to ever enter a baseball diamond?

Berkman has a .998 OPS vs. RHP in 2011 for a reason. He just showed what that reason is. Pujols, by comparison, has a .897 OPS in 2011.

Not to mention that the Rangers nearly lost the game because of that decision, putting the winning run on 1st.

Who wants to win this game?

Carpenter is going to start tomorrow if they play.

And that would be why you don't intentionally walk Pujols to face a guy who mashes righties like Berkman.

The Cards keep wasting these opportunities to win it outright, though. They don't have much of a pen left to speak of.

Pujols likely would have mashed a HR and won the game, so it was still the smart thing to walk him.

Pujols. Is. The. Best. Hitter. In. The. Game.

I don't care about someone's OPS.

The only one being stupid was Ron Washington for putting the winning run on there and bringing up a guy that absolutely destroys RHP like Feldman.

Step off.
