I realize words have meaning, but come on. This is the internet, not a court room.

SOrry, I really thought thats what you meant.

I thought you were saying that I was OK with beating kids...and thats the straw man that I pointed out. Obviouisly if you didnt mean what you said, then theres no straw man.....

This is just funny. I'm trying not to insult you, because I like you...And I also didn't know shit about kids even though I have a graduate level education and have taken courses on psychology and child development..

But EVERYTHING is a big deal to a 3 year old....Believe me , on the list of big deals...not getting a cookie, losing a toy, not being able to put a lego thingy together, not having a banana in the morning.....

These all rank somewhere on the list right around getting swatted getting a 'sting'....

If we did everything based on what was 'a big deal' to the kids and not what was right , we would live in a disconnected society where kids were rude and people were shitty....oh wait...

You were talking about straw men earlier...

Yeah maybe he'll quit pushing other children down besides that your statement is BS. When I was young a got whipped a few times with a belt and I never held it against my dad or mom. And as I got older I've said more than once that looking back on it I should have "gotten It" a lot more than I did.

Some kids need a whipping some don't.

The potential damage/risk is psychological.

Yeah, I still disagree with it.

And really that's fine with me. As long as it's you and not the government telling me it's abuse or trying to take kids away, hey, whatever.

What do you guys think is worse?

1. Punching a grown woman in the face.

2. Stuffing leaves in a 4 year-old's mouth and whip him.

It's like all the time the UN sanctions North Korea....but that dude just laughs. I bet if we bombed his ass he would change his tune. Same with ISIS, maybe a timeout would keep them from beheading people. Lol

Oh did you 'not mean' what you said again...

See the problem is when you say things, and don't mean them two posts later ..it gets confusing...

Sort of like I don't understand if you think every parent who uses a paddle is an abuser or not....

I feel a woman could defend herself somewhat, but a child cannot.

Depends. Did the kid "need" to be whipped and have leaves stuffed in his mouth?

I know someone as educated and intelligent as you might not grasp this...

But theres a pretty big difference between learning about kids from a book when youre 20 and raising children in real life...

Sort of like learning book spanish and then going and trying to get a midget tranny hooker in a sketchy part of mexico city

But I know youll never have to deal with the 1st one, so let me just assure you...that sometimes things you learn in books don't exactly prepare you for the practicalities of life.

Lets see the list of people who actually say the child needed to have leaves stuffed in his mouth.. Post quotes that show this big 'sad number'..

Or are you just a troll using some made up crap to prove some 'point' that you know jack shit about?

Equally bad but I feel worse for the 4 year old.

You just mentioned your graduate-level education and that you took a class in psychology and in child development! LMAO
