CAnt believe you were taking your BMW through a automatic car wash.

I don’t even take my shitty 12 year old daily driver Civic through one.

It’s literally quicker to handwash in driveway than drive to auto wash.

You’re an embarrassment SR!!!

What temperature do you wash microfiber towels on? Chemical Guys say on hot, Pan the Organizer says cold, Larry from AMMO says warm. What say you?

Depends on whats on them and you always need a good soak to float the crap out. I was told never to use hot and never have.

I find warm works best for my 3M towels and include an extra rinse.

What does your detergent need? It should say on the canister.

Never on hot. Always on cold.

Air dry, Never a dryer.

Been doing it that way for years and most of my microfiber towels are still in great shape.

I pre wash with the hose - then air dry - then wash warm - tumble dry w/o heat.

We should all follow Larrry and also get a separate washer/dryer for just microfiber.

Larry is probably pulling a quarter of a million a year, though. :)

He’s always working on some super rare and badass cars like that Porsche above a as well. I’ve enjoyed his videos a lot over the years since they first turned up as part of the old /drive YouTube channel years back.

Wrong.

You don't wash microfiber. You use it once and throw it out. That would be cheaper than another washer.

SuperChief 07-25-2018 08:37 AM

Thanks all!

This is what I do as well. There is supposed to be certain detergent to use but I haven’t seen any bad effects of using regular stuff for years.
