I would be in favor of Wang or Gee, whoever they like better, getting Young's next start. I see the point in letting him try to beat Atlanta, but if he does, what does that mean? I don't think that would really mean he is ready to roll. It's time to see what else we have.

How did this team win the World Series? |

It's just hard to sustain that kind of play over a 6 month period. That's why you have to enjoy that... they could get back to the playoffs this year but we'll probably never see an offense like that again. Nine guys all hitting and picking each other up. That was a once in a generation thing. |

Ken Rosenthal with an article about the Royals tonight. Apparently Yost called a meeting the other night. One of the players said joked to him "We need to get into a fight." |

Enjoy what we had the last two years, because we may never see it again. Not because I think, "oh no, we suck again", but because just getting to the WS is such a daunting task. And winning it the way we did last year is darn near impossible. They gave me enough memories to last me the rest of my life. If we are out of it in August/September, I don't care. I'll just pop in some of my 2015 WS Bluray discs and... https://i.ytimg.com/vi/JuSmZwAWUXc/hqdefault.jpg |

Everything went exactly our way, including renaissance years from, amongst other things that absolutely worked out, Chris Young and Kendrys Morales. It would have been(be?)nearly impossible to recreate that. Clearly, there are more than just a few things not working right now, but the utter failure of those two stick out to me, especially in comparison to last year. But, they'll never take 2015 away from us or from those guys, it just sucks to have them both turn into pumpkins now |
Zobrist obv was a killer in October, but we were way out in 1st when we got him. The biggest problem is the total collapse of Cain + Kendrys. The latter isn't all that surprising but Cain is. Basically we took 3 good bats off our team and put 3 crappy ones on. Now that Moose is out, that's 4
In other news: Billy Butler is a bench player. In 43 AB he is hitting .186 and has taken 1 walk. He has 4 doubles and 3 GIDP |
