"The real is issue is defense" LMAO

We've had an elite defense for Alex's entire tenure. You can make the argument that the 2013 defense wasn't but it was definitely still better than average.

Where all da Supa Bows?

Sure. He can be frustrated. That wasn't how it was framed though. Initially it was framed at frustrated with Andy's unwillingness to change, and my response is that Alex can essentially call the plays himself.

He's a ****ing pussy.

People talk a lot about him not trusting his receivers/OL, but to me it appears obvious that he doesn't even trust himself.

In58men 10-04-2016 03:36 PM

He has no ****ing balls and never did. He cares about his stats because he knows that'll be the reason he keeps the starting position. He's ****ing smart not dumb. The Chiefs organization are the idiots.

I'm not going back and forth on Alex. I want to see him succeed and have seen the warrior side of him. So I'm on your side here.

Oh, it's all good.

To answer, I'd say "a fault" of Alex's is that he is extremely obedient. He has a small area of flexibility in changing plays, but overall, he's just a dull soldier who will pretty much follow the orders given.

This has always been his mindset... and yes.. it is frustrating.

The truth is this.. I am VERY disappointed in what I'm seeing in much of Alex Smith's play. I'm almost hopeful he'll retire or leave KC, if this season continues its shit-show on offense.

I'm still not buying in that he is the primary problem... but I did expect him to be carrying the offense better than this. I also expected a better OL and less receiver/Ware fumbles than I am seeing. I also expected Andy/Alex to become more aggressive in this yr 4.

My expectations have led to disappointment.. but some people here are going wildly dramatic.. while also focusing most of their frustration on the QB. It's not a surprise.. but it just adds to the disappointment.

Again.. it's just common sense. If Alex was not doing as asked, and was seen as the primary problem, he wouldn't be on the field. Reid and Dorsey want to keep their jobs, and that means they need to keep the winning seasons going. They would not continue to trot this QB out there to the field if he was not following instructions, and was the one sinking this offense.

.. and obviously, sinking this offense is not the same as lifting it out of the water. Apparently Alex is not good enough to lift the playcalling, bottom tier OL, and frequent skill player ****ups.. out of the water. Find a QB that can? hey... go for it. How many QBs out there are there that can do so? 3? 5? and are they available?

If he can no longer bail himself out with his legs, he might as well be Cassel.

Exactly.

He is Alex Cassel.

Remember the 2nd season during the San Fran game where I just turned my back on him and said he's a ****ing pussy? It took him over a year to get me back. Against San Diego this year in week 1 what did you see? That's Alex. That's what I wanted back then. Don't let these guys beat you down. We're about to go on a big run and the defense will look much different at the end of the year once these young corners have evolved and Justin Houston is back. Alex is going to be fine, and the Chiefs are going to be great, and these guys will not be on your shit so much. Stick to your guns. We're fine. He's fine. It'll work itself out beginning in Oakland. Half of these guys jaws are dropping as they read these posts that I make these days. It's cool. :)

He will still be a ****ing idiot no matter what the chiefs do.

I mean he bashed the linemen a couple weeks ago in the pff thread when 4 of the 5 (actually 5 of the 6 who played) graded out higher in their position group than Alex did.

Mr. Flopnuts 10-04-2016 07:05 PM

Sandy has grown on me. He's a very passionate fan. Of our team 2nd, and Alex 1st but very passionate. Like football is supposed to be. Passion. Doesn't bother me at all. It's not like the Patriot shit bags we inherited when Pioli came to town.

I hope he bleeds out from a ruptured anus and the paramedics find him with his fist still shoved up there.
