The TV coverage as well as the video embedded shows what happened. The TV coverage showed the team and the coach leaving the field and no students were on the field. I suppose the blogger was simply confusing the team's celebration with students.

I was driving so I have no idea. I would hope they didn't.

They did rush the field. Afterwards, they gave Kentucky a standing ovation for winning the national championship in basketball two years ago. It was an odd scene.

I knew I should have skipped my boys football game to be there. Stupid wife wouldn't let me.

Kansas: It's been more than two years since Kansas could brag about a win over an FBS team ? until Saturday. Matt Wyman's 52-yard field goal as time expired gave the Jayhawks a 13-10 win over Louisiana Tech
and snapped a 22-game losing streak to teams from the FBS. On the
flipside, however, Kansas fans belong in our "Losers" section for
rushing the field for a win against a 1-3 Louisiana Tech team.
Hey,
remember when Kansas was in the Orange Bowl in 2008?

Only problem for this blogger (I won't tell you where he/she went to college at): it never happened.

KU won on a 52 yard FG as time expired. I can't think of a team that wouldn't rush the field in that situation.

Author sounds a bit butthurt.

Wouldn't worry too much about a blogger with less than 400 followers

No, the point he/she/it was making was that the students rushed the field. When they clearly and proveably did not. He/she/it lied.

Here's his twitter. But hasn't been active in over 24 hours. Could be backlash for falsifying a story?

FWIW... I thought they started to rush he field when watching the game, but the camera quickly cut away as to not show it happening. I straight up asked myself... "Did they really just rush the field"??

I never got another good field shot to get my answer, but was left with the impression some of the crowd did before flipping the channel.

Probably...

I'm sure her site about Kentucky gets a lot of traffic from people interested in Kansas/Louisiana Tech football.
