Dyson is out of options correct?

I also tried to trade you guys Allen Craig for Herrerra and Collins and was also told that the Royals would be stupid to make such a move. I was about to murder Mitchell Boggs and would've given my first-born for a legitimate closer option at the time.

You guys really are half-crazy sometimes. It's not Orioles-fans bad, but it's pretty bad.

I doubt many if any fans would argue against trading a middle reliever for a guy who hit 22 home runs and OPSd 876 last year. Not saying you're lying, but it sure seems like you're lying or exaggerating because I'd trade most bullpen guys for anything since they're vastly overrated.

Yup. No chance he makes it through waivers so he would be gone for good.

It seems every time the Royals make a move go on a losing streak. Here's to hoping that is not the case this year.

I'm still not that wowed by Wong (who I think ultimately is a LHH Omar Infante), and in my defense, at the start of the year he was coming off a .754 OPS in a hitter's park in a hitter's league hitting in front of the best or second-best hitter in the minor leagues.

I don't remember exactly what I said about Colon vs. Wong, but I know I was saying I didn't see a big spread between them, based on their production. They were similar (.754 OPS vs. .756 OPS in the Texas League) guys in many ways, though Wong is what, 18 months younger? I think you wanted Mondesi for him, which was an ultimate no-go for me.

I'm a HUGE Mondesi believer, and if you compare his numbers at age 17 to what Profar did at the same age, I think you'll see why. He is putting up the same numbers in his age 17/18 season that Profar did in his age 17 season... but Mondesi is doing it in the Southern League and Profar was in Low-A.

I remember being all over Craig for Herrera and Collins. Would have loved to pull the trigger on that one.

Deez, Saul and Nightfyre were all arguing against it around pages 33/34 and underselling the hell out of Craig.

Come to think of it, every time I see something from Nightfyre, it's usually pretty stupid. Something along the lines of "Salvador Perez is worth more than the entire Cardinals farm system..."

Maybe I'm just projecting his insanity onto the rest of you fine gentlemen. As for Deez, well nobody bats 1.000.

I said Mondesi or Calixte. I knew you guys probably wouldn't hav egiven Mondesi for him, but Calixte seemed totally fair. At this point, however, I don't think I'd send him for Calixte. That K rate is terrifying.

There's no way they send Lough down, right?

Right?

WhawhaWhat 07-31-2013 03:57 PM

Interested to see who the Royals put through waivers now. Hochevar, Chen, Santana?

I'm hoping Getz or Johnson gets sent down.

Johnson has 1 hit in his last 35 AB.

Why would they? He's been a beast ever since we called him up.
