Their whole argument is that he hasn't been convicted in court so he must be innocent until proven guilty. Due process like the 49ers despite the fact that there is documented evidence in the form of photos, text messages, Peterson's own statements, etc that he did physically abuse his children.

Another case coming against him is just icing on the cake.
