Back to something McCarver said earlier, about the rainout helping the Cardinals. Washington could have pitched Holland on full rest with a fully rested Harrison to back him up tonight and shot his wad prematurely in Game 6.

It wasn't talent. We have some talent but it was just grit, team chemistry, that magical "it" that makes a team champions.

He pulled out all the stops to try to win yesterday, which you can argue he should have. Unfortunately, he's kind of a bad manager and did that very poorly.
