I feel kinda.....calm, right now. I guess it's a quiet comfort of a 4-run lead.

Yes, you were. At times, the only one.

I saw this team give up 6 runs in the 9th to the New York Mets in late September when up 6-2, and the lineup we're facing makes that look like a GCL squad. This is a long, long way from over. There's no victory formation in baseball.

I'm thinking yes. You'd think it was the Royals that were losing the WS.

Luck?

It wasn't talent. We have some talent but it was just grit, team chemistry, that magical "it" that makes a team champions.

Lucky as in you get to witness 2 world championships in such a short period of time. A lot of us have been waiting since 85.

And no I am not trying to jinx anybody this is a genuine congrats if you do come out on top.

Not from me. This has been an unbelievable series to watch, and the Cards dominated tonight. When Carpenter gave up 2 in the first, I thought this may get ugly, but it's just meant to be.

4 runs with Motte on the mound. Over.

Motte, Scrabble, and Salas against righties. It's a good position to be in, were we not facing an All-Star team.

It's not you. That made no sense.

Frazod 10-28-2011 09:18 PM

Jesus, LaRussa just took out our entire offense. Sure hope we don't end up needing them.

To be fair its easy for people like us not emotionally invested to see how the Cards could win games 6 and 7. The hurt from game 5 made it hard for them to see things clearly.
