LOL

At least these things are now off the board:

1) Drafting Manti Te'o
2) Trading TOO MUCH for Kirk Cousins (with RG3's injury, no way they move him now)

May I present to you your new enemy:

Honestly, this would piss me off worse than the Poe pick did last season. I love the Reid hire and think he can do great things for this franchise. That said, if we let Albert walk and replace him with Joekel, that would piss me off more than any single personnel decision that Pioli made during his entire tenure in KC.

Jackson is the only close 2nd and that's only because you could make a convincing argument that Albert's back woes will be a career-long issue and we may be wise to move on from him now before we commit for 5 years and run the risk of putting ourselves in a bind with the contract.

It's not a very good argument, but at least it a credible one.

Sign Albert, Sign Bowe, go all-in on a QB.

Just ask the Miami Dolphins how well passing on a qb for a LT with #1 worked out.

I really don't see why this is so complicated for some people.

Yeah, if they're going to draft Joekel and try to build the OL first, why not retain Brandon Albert? Why do the Joekelites want to walk away from Albert? It's not like KC has been great at RT. Albert has positional flexibility, too... could be above-average at RT and all-pro at LG.

It's not like KC is hurting for the cap room.

Also, there's buzz that Joekel may return to Texas A&M for his senior year in an effort to win a national title, along with Matthews. Honestly, I'm kind of hoping for that.

Geno looks like he is having trouble holding onto the ball...

Anyway, with the ****ing non-stop pimping of the guy, I expected to see a sure-fire #1 overall guy, not what I saw.

And DJ's Left Nut suggested early on that their ****ing asshat of coach should be the Chiefs next Offensive Coordinator, to which I fully disagreed.

:shake:

There are just too many ****ing homers here anymore and it's just too difficult to sort through them.

In my defense, I have already apologized for Holgorsen. Though I will say that he looked far more aggressive last season than he did this year. It was really strange to see him go "Full Yost" and cut his offense in half after Geno showed such aptitude in running it last season.

Holgorsen looks like he has some Martz in him. Probably a brilliant OC, but something of a mad-tinkerer that shouldn't be a HC. I think the moment gets too big for him and he retreats into a conservative shell, at least as conservative as you can with an Air-Raid offense.

Even the ardent Geno backers have been willing to discuss his flaws. I've been annoyed by his unwillingness to really step into a drive his throws all season. I do think he can focus too heavily on his first read sometimes (but that's what his offense calls for).

I was also pretty embarrassed by his behavior at the Pinstripe Bowl - it wasn't very becoming at all and it did show a petulant flash that you can't have in your QB.

he's still my #1 pick though. He does so many things that you don't teach (like the fact that he'll stand in there in the face of a blitz and take the hit to deliver the throw). He does have outstanding touch, though I still wonder what his true fastball and/or down-field range is. Like I said, because he doesn't drive his hips well, I can't think of a throw where he rocketed one into a closing window down-field. He'll need to prove he can do those things to be any more impressive than Matt Barkley.

I still think that's he's as good a prospect relative to his position as any player in this draft apart from Lotulelei, Werner and now Moore. And given our need at the position, I think he's a no-brainer.

Jake Long is THE SURE THING! Solidifies their LT position for 10-15 years!

(Except that he hasn't been dominant and they might not re-sign him)

Oh just wait.

The Joekelytes will start with "Lilja retired, move Albert back to Guard" soon enough....

I hate the Joekelytes.

Where was this when "the guy" was Mark ****ing Sanchez or Jimmy ****ing Clausen?

Looks like a double standard to me.

KC fans and obsession with lineman. smh we could have #1 picks at every position on the line and it wouldn't matter without a qb. Why is that concept so difficult to grasp?
