He did such a fantastic job with QBs with more natural physical ability against lesser competition at Florida.

All I know is he made a shitty QB in Cassel look half way decent.

I think he knows how to design an offense based around his QB's strengths and avoiding their weakness.

Something Haley and Muir dont have a ****ing clue about.

And what are our strengths? Our receivers, who are useless if we dont' have a QB who can deliver a ball to them.

Our QB is horrible.
We can't throw deep.
We can throw a limited amount of short stuff because the ball doesn't get there fast enough.
Our QB throws inaccurately
We don't have any RBs that can break big runs
Our pass protection is adequate, but not great

What is this magical offense Weis would design around Palko?

McCluster can break big runs. The problem is, he isn't going to break big runs going through the middle of the DLine on a draw.

We don't start a QB who can throw deep. How often do we utilize screen plays?

How the **** are you going to run a screen play against a team that is guarding everything 20 yards and in?

The same way every other team runs a screen play? With blockers.

Our screen plays are quick passes to the outside with 2 receivers with 1 blocking vs 2 defenders.

No.

I'm questioning his ability to perform miracles.

A QB has to have the mental tools to be consistently successful.

I'll give the freshman a pass, but I don't believe that either Brantley or Cassel have the necessary mental tools.

Cassel was able to do some things last year , and to a lesser extent, the second half of '09 because of Charles.

But when defenses didn't have to commit all thier resourses to stopping Charles, Cassel was shit, and nothing Weis did changed that.

I have every confidence in Weis' ability to develop a legitimate QB.

The only reason you run a screen is to take advantage of an over-aggressive defense. No defense is going to send the house on Palko. No defense is going to overpursue the run against a team that has average RBs playing #1 ball carrier.

So teams aren't going to play for the pass and they aren't going to play for the run. What are they doing then? Playing cards?

Again a NON-ANSWER from the dickless one.

Typical and to be expected.

What? I'm saying there is zero reason for a defense to play aggressive. You don't overpursue the run because you don't respect it. You don't blitz Palko like crazy because you don't have to. You just sit back and contain within 20 yards.

Screen passes only work against aggressive defenses. They'll get blown up 9 times out of 10 against a contain defense.

Teams aren't playing a prevent defense for 4 quarters. Hate to break it to you.
