How many "actual" DH's are there anymore (that can't play a position) now that Fielder and Ortiz are retired? 2 or 3? Even then some can play positions in the field. It's an evolving spot that no longer necessarily fits the mold of "fat out of shape slob". That is a very dated line of thinking.

I'm a pretty big guy so most of the time I dont worry about things like this, but going to the game alone might not be the best idea. I guess we'll just see how the series plays out. If the Cubs have a chance to clinch it, there's no way I'm missing it.

Alright, I'm convinced. Like I said, I'm usually not worried about shit like this, but it feels a little different going into enemy grounds completely alone. So ready to get this series started. Go Cubs. Good luck to all you Dodgers fans.

Still in awe over that game.

Doc managed the hell out of it. Giving hill the quick hook, going to Urias, Kenley in the 7th, and then of course Kersh to close it.

Say what you will about the Dodgers, but Kenley personally handing off the ball to Kersh was a balla moment.

Go to the game.

After the previous incident and it being playoff baseball, there will be plenty of security and it's not a rivalry team situation, not that that excuses the attack.

You'll be fine as long as you aren't a shitheel and recognize you're a guest. (outnumbered)

I honestly wouldn't even give it a 2nd thought about whether to attend out of safety fears.
You've probably got a greater chance of being seriously injured by a ball chopped into the stands.

I think the Dodgers beat the Cubs.

I'm telling ya folks. I had a dream about this. Most of the time when I dream, the messages are true. I problem solve in my sleep.

I actually want the Dodgers to go to the World Series. It's a better matchup for the Bluejays. Anyone bluth Chicago you know?

Watching pitchers "hit" is lame as ****.

Nothing says lame like a "hitter" who makes an out 85 percent of the time, at best.

But then when the pitcher hits a homerun, that run scored becomes even more joyous. It brings me tears of joy if I were to see a guy like Roberto Osuna hit a homerun. I need to stop being so cute. Awwww

AL ball is like watching Liitle League. I half expect players to sub in and out like a hoops game.

Watching a pitcher hit is like Little League... When you've got the early developing 12 year old pitching to the under-developed 10-year old.

95 percent of pitchers might as well be swinging a wet newspaper. Most pitchers hits come in no pressure situations, as they are basically helpless in key spots.

The strategy required is something that can easily be handled by anybody with Little League experience and a basic understanding of the game.

And for whatever interest it may add in the middle innings (pull the starter? Double switch? Etc) it deadens it in the early innings. 7th hitter hit a two-out double or triple in the third? Guess what, 8th guy is getting walked and the inning will end with the pitcher flailing at the ball.

And the DH will go the way of the dodo, eventually. Just is going to take a bigger name than Adam Wainwright blowing out a knee/Achilles/etc to make it happen.

Hey guys you know what would be cool ?

If we could have multi-purpose players.

Do you think they'll ever be other guys aside from Babe Ruth that can pitch but hit at the same time? We need those type of players
