They are fine. They always have been. They are built for the cold. Up to you if your dog is an indoor or outdoor dog. Either way, they will be fine. But city dwellers don't see it that way.

I've always lived in a city, but my step mother's side of the family is all rural and farmers. Most of them have a dogs, and they kept them outdoors almost all the time.

The cold feels like complete shit to us because we have skin instead of a fur coat (duh), but some people need to be reminded that animals fare just fine outside. All the time if need to be.

I left my cat outside when it was 10 degrees.

It froze to death.

But then again it was a pussy.

Feed them, let them loose to play etc. The dogs were fine. Honestly, I don't understand why people keep medium to large size dogs in a house in the first place. I think it's very strange. I like dogs, but they stink up everything they lay on and will destroy your house. I get having a hunting dog and/or to run around on the farm, but no clue why someone would want a full grown lab, great dane or something laying in their bed or couch slobbering on everything making everything amuck. But to each their own.

Well, that's not really true. At least not in all situations.

Of course, it's all about what you're calling "cold" and the dog's specific situation and health. If you're saying a dog can be kept outside in 20-30 degree weather, that's probably true for a large dog with a thick coat. It's (hopefully obviously) silly to act like a little Chihuahua would be fine if left outside in -20 degree weather.

So are the streets covered in ice?

DaFace 01-14-2017 06:27 PM

For what it's worth, here's the NWS hourly freezing rain/ice forecast for the stadium:

So basically, it's probably gonna start accumulating overnight and largely end by noon. There is a chance of some icing both before and after that time frame, but it won't be much. I bet the game will be a light rain if anything.

And keep in mind the field is heated so as far as the actual game TYREEK SHOULD RUN WILD !

We had about .10" of ice last night, and it made getting into the car an adventure, but they treated all of the main roads and they were fine. Roads were dry by 11am.
Untreated road were a different animal altogether.

Now that people have 70- inch high def TVs where you can see the pimples on some lineman's ass in living color, the value of the game experience has waned. Ticket prices will never come down. If the economy continues to erode, more and more people will just stay home. Not to mention having to deal with drunk assholes, having people dent your car doors in the parking lot, paying more than a steak dinner would cost just to park, etc etc etc.

George you'd be a happier Chiefs fan if you just stayed home.

There also is no such thing as a space between the last word of a sentence and the exclamation point.

Anyone hearing they may delay the game even longer?
