Nope because if Alex plays well than we will be drafting in the bottom half. If Alex does bad he will be finding a new job and we would take a qb.

You do realize that if Alex plays well, there won't be an emphasis on priority to draft a QB, right? LMAO

Mother****erJones 03-31-2013 09:09 PM

Yes its 2 days. Rappaport had a report on it.

Positive? No.

At first all of the talk at the beginning of this visit was a "2 day visit", now all I hear is that he's "Working out on Monday", so who knows.

Dont know that. Look what Reid did to Detmer, Kolb, etc. He turned them into good qbs and than traded him for picks.

If we are picking 15-20 there should be.

You don't give up what we did to get a 29 year old Alex Smith to only win 6-8 games and be satisfied.

penbrook 03-31-2013 09:13 PM

Yes its for two days.

Some guy on twitter earlier was Saying Millner was visiting the Dolphins tommorow so maybe they put there emphsize solely on Geno.

Mother****erJones 03-31-2013 09:13 PM

He has to be throwing to KC WRs. Who else would he throw to?

Alex Smith is 28 dude. He's just now entering what most people will call the "Golden Years" of QB's in their prime, if he plays well this year, that's 3 consecutive good years of play in 2 different systems. 4 average years of play in 3 different systems.

If he plays well next year with Daniel/Stanzi/Tanney behind Alex, I don't think there's going to be any worry for a few years to draft a QB with emphasis on setting up the future of the franchise.

By this time next year if Alex was a winner and put us towards the back of the draft, we're going to be focusing on drafting defensively for depth and perhaps a Corner if we can't get another one drafted or signed this year.

I agree but damn take a future QB now. Let him sit. In case Alex cant do it. Dont like the idea of putting all eggs into an Alex Smith basket. I like the trade but would still take geno
