I'd like to see some HD on the castle scenes of the bacta tank.

My god, the rebel screaming "HELP UUUUUS" is just perfect. What an utterly perfect scene.

So good. And again, they made it so seamless with the beginning to ANH -

They would have been better off just saying "Get these to the Princess" and leaving it at that. The CGI Leia was...ugh...bad...

They certainly did a better job with Cushing. Fisher's face looks too long and narrow. I mean, you can tell it's her, but it's just.... off. Perhaps that's a result of the facial structure of the actual actress, but it seems they could have fixed that with a simple adjustment that I could do using the MS Paint program.

It's a minor beef, though. Overall, Rogue One is completely full of win.

I loved CGI Leia. It was nice to see them go Anti-Abrams and take bold risks at every turn. Some landed better than others, it's the nature of the beast.

It's a nitpicky thing. The movie was so awesome - I can't remember the last time I so thoroughly enjoyed something I saw at the theater. Can't wait for the blu ray to come out. Less than two weeks now.

Fantastic point, and I really enjoyed The Force Awakens when I first watched it. Rogue One is much better and will hold up better.

Same. They played it safe. Which, wasn't the worst thing to right the ship after the prequels.

The only thing that truly bothered me about the movie was slapped on fourth death star. Everything else felt like a suitable homage, for the most part. The "it's not the death star it's TEN TIMES bigger" made it feel like a reboot at that point.

Still, the moment Rey calls the lightsaber has brought tears to my eyes from the first time I saw the movie. Abrams made me give a **** about the new characters, which was far more than Lucas pulled off in the prequels. TFA made me invested in the series again - but 8 needs to be far more than a pale imitation of ESB. Rian Johnson is a good place to start for that.

Same. My Mom introduced me to Star Wars and her and I are massively critical when we watch the films. For her and I to walk out without any complaints speaks to what an experience that movie was. I enjoyed every single moment - and it vastly exceeded my expectations when I came to the theater.

Just finished Rogue 1. By far the best of the last 5 movies and possibly my favorite.

ThaVirus 03-24-2017 08:12 PM

It's the best Star Wars thing. Period.

And that Vader scene is probably the single best of the franchise as well. 50 year old white dudes have been waiting for that since 1976.

Yep. They proved that there is fertile ground for "in between" movies from the OT.

Now give me a live action Shadows of the Empire. The script is already written for you. It's easy money. Just show some balls, like you did with R1, and recast the OT actors. You've already got 1/3 of it done with Sebastian Stan as Luke Skywalker.

You can find a Leia and a Lando, and Han Solo isn't even in the ****ing movie because he's frozen.

Hell, Ian McDiarmid can play the Emperor again, even, and you've already figured out how to portray Vader.
