Its one of those things though, you can't really keep a guy in a job he's decided he doesn't want. It just doesn't end well, the players aren't going to respond to a guy that has a foot out the door. That said, unless its absolutely his dream job I can't imagine him being that interested because he's got a pretty good organization around him right now.

Wow. I can't believe that TLR is leaving. He was an institution in that dugout, and normally an institution that I wanted flayed alive. That said, he did far more good than bad this postseason, aside from his Game 5 tardfest.

Duncan would almost assuredly be gone, especially given his age and his wife's condition.

I don't really know if Lilliquist is worth his salt as a pitching coach

Just listened to Bernie M.'s show on 101.1. He had little dunc (Chris Duncan) on and he said his Mom wanted papadunc to go back to the dugout. Said his mom was doing much better and that baseball was dunc the elder's life.

Also said that Duncan was not hooked to TLR at the hip.

sounds like another reason to go with Oquendo.

Danny DeClutch, as well as Yadi, Lohse, and Holliday were nominated for the GG awards.

ROFL

What, did all the other left fielders die? Shit, you'd think somebody would have started a thread about it.

He had a .985 fielding percentage.

He's not that bad in LF.

My ass. How many balls drop in the gap for doubles that a good fielder WHO ACTUALLY HUSTLES would catch?

:shake:

He only had 3 errors on the season...

he's implying that Holliday has no range...you don't get errors for not having range

that's why Jeter has such a sparkling good fielding % every year...he fields the balls he can get to...he just can't get to anything anymore so, in turn, he's actually a terrible SS

Hootie 10-31-2011 03:10 PM

and ideally an OF really shouldn't have errors...other than throwing errors...I'd have to say at least 65-70% of an OF's errors come from throwing errors...if not more...

Holliday is completely average in LF, he does not help you but he does not hurt you.

Nothing yet, I'm guessing he's done.

Duncan has said several times that even if this is Larussa's last year that he wanted to coach at least one more year. But, then again how does his wife getting sick factor into a decision now.

Hootie 10-31-2011 03:23 PM

he could go full Lackey and just divorce her
