He's not even a good backup. Honestly, he shouldn't even still be playing in the NFL.

We can easily replace him with pretty much any vet out there. There is literally no reason he should be back on this team.

We need to finally get rid of the face of the Pioli era.

Reid is great with QB's. Why not keep him around and see if he can turn it around?

I seriously doubt Matt would want to stay. His salary this year isn't out of line for a starting quarterback so this basically says you're not the starter and well, lets face it, he's not liked much around these parts.

Turn what around?

He is what he is man. And that's a terrible quarterback.

What does he do well? Think about it.

He has no accuracy.
He has no arm.
He has a slow release.
He has no pocket presence.
He stares down receivers.
He doesn't go through his progressions, therefore he misses wide open receivers consistently.
He cant read defenses.
He crumbles under the slightest pressure.
He holds onto the ball too long.
Hes stupid.

He wouldn't even be a good backup. If he's back as our backup, what if our starter whoever it may be goes down in the preseason? You want another year of one of the worst QBs in the NFL? The season would be over before it started again.

Cut the giant failure and move on already. It's been long enough.

You have to be careful. As mentioned a while back, O.City is a bit of a sleeper troll when he gets annoyed.

You cant fix a shit QB. Cassel needs to be protected by a great line, great WRs, great coaching in order to do well. Ill take my chances with a QB out of this draft and my number 1 is Geno Smith

So far he's done a pretty good job IMO going out and signing a few guys and hoping one these pre-free agency bums will make the roster. No issues to report yet.
