Maybe I also like Broken, but I couldn't put that in the list because it was too short of an album.

Broken is probably my fave - Wish/Gave Up as an opener = WOW.

He has drop off from his days in GnR & they all try to hold on to that fame with the band recognition and Slash and Duff arn't in it.

The RRHF was a joke they sold out & Axl didn't want any part of it.

Not gonna argue with any of that.

I have a Col. Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Brains show from '06 that is stellar.

I'm an Izzy guy anyway - his albums are ****ing GREAT.

How about when they stick 1 or 2 new songs onto the latest greatest hits package? That's a great move for fans. Not as big of a deal in the iTunes era, but I always hated that they made me buy a whole CD of songs I already had just to get the 1 or 2 new ones.

I know! I love the metalish guitar riff sounds on that album, but it was just so weirdly short.

What's also cool about Reznor is that he has good taste in music with other artists...whenever I see a list of shit he is into or hear an interview of him giving some band props, I immediately check out the band and they are almost always awesome. I wasn't quite able to get into Throbbing Gristle...not sure what their even about, but the rest of his recommendations are superb. I was hooked from the first time I heard the song, "Burn" on an MTV commercial when I was 11 years old.

I like Burn too. It used to be my deadlift song back in college. Isn't 11 a little young to be raging out to a song like Burn?

I'm going to do a semi-spinoff of this thread, was listening to Boneyard on sirius the other day and heard about their contest where you win a chance to pick a five song block and wondered what i would play.

It differs a bit from my fave rock band picks, but oh well, i like this list.

1 - <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/XBxlAATrd-E" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

2 - <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Skq1llOdeQs" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

3 - <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Kvz2E7R0wxw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

4 - <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/KmgljVdIDGw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

5 - gotta have this for the Boneyard

I don't really hate you. You look kind of chisled in that first pic. A little dorky in the second. It's cool though. I look weird in 99% of pics.

If it's a compilation that has alternate live tracks or outtakes, alternate versions, something where you can go 'I'm picking this because it has the live version of 'blah blah' and the single mix of 'woof woof'' or whatever, ya know??

But yeah, Greatest Hits are probably a cop-out.

Live albums are always fair game.

Mr. KC Tattoo,

You must admit that the greatest Primus album was, indeed, the "Brown" album.

many moons ago in my teens; I'd go over to my brother's house; he'd score me and my buddy beer; we'd drink and maybe smoke stuff. We'd watch American Gladiators, then after that show ended....

BAYWATCH NIGHTS was on. the most horrible show ever. Apparently, in Hoff's 'off time', he helped the police fight crime.

we were all broke, so it made for a great evening of fun.
