Heh, not many would miss the HR derby. All Star game probably, although the ratings keep diving lower and lower and there is nearly zero buzz about it anymore.

It's also because of "big names" like Puig, who only has 12 homeruns, whereas Anthony Rizzo should be there instead of Puig, since Rizzo has 20.

Is Jeter in this thing? I'll be mildly surprised if he isn't.

Berman needs to "retire". Let Al Michaels or Jack Buck say something about the swings. Or just shut the hell up.

A 356 ft home run is a 2nd decker? WTF kind of ball do they play in the twin cities?

I'm trolling dude. Lighten up. No one cares about the HR derby. Now the All-Star game thats different because of home field advantage.

I think that my Cardinals had a way better chance last year in the world series if we would had won the All-Star game and had home field advantage.

No doubt about Berman. He does need to retire or give it to someone else to do this thing. His shick is getting old quickly.

He signed a multi-year extension in 2012. Not sure what his salary is; I've heard it's anywhere from 1 mil to 15 mil a year. However much it is, he basically has a free pass to steal money from ESPN at this point, even if he did build it from the ground up.

I'll never understand why they keep giving him "play by play" gigs? He's not a "play by play" guy. He's a studio guy. Stick to the studio Berman.

I agree that he was as responsible as anyone for the popularity of ESPN. His schtick was orginal back in the day. But the schtick that was was original in 1985 grinds on the ears in 2014.

The league that has won the All-Star game has won the World Series 8 of 11 times since they changed the format.

Since 2008 5 out of 5.

Stanton is a likable guy; I hope he doesn't end up on the Yankees.
