This isn't just Phil doesn't like Hootie. That's true. I don't. I don't like a few other people either but I don't run around banning people I don't like.

This is an issue that has been discussed ad nauseum by the mods. It's not something that we take lightly and just decided because one of us may have been on the rag.

It's not over any one post. It's a body of work. It's a process.

I didn't say it had to do with the mods. I said that lots of good members have been leaving, and they have. Why ban another one for no good reason? Maybe if he really provided solid football takes by creating a douche tournament, he wouldn't be seen as a troll.

Not really.

But take it off-line with Flop. He's the dissenting Hooting supporter. He'll tell you how much we've discussed Hootie and what to do with him. The guy begged to come back. We developed a plan and Hootie didn't follow it.

My "job" is to try to enjoy myself on this site because I'm first and foremost a user of the site just like you. I shouldn't spend any more than 1% of my time on this site wearing a moderator hat. I don't.

My friends' daughter did die of brain cancer a couple of days ago. I wasn't offering you a guilt trip. I was intending to offer perspective into your petty argument with Pawnmower. If that was "fun" for you then go right on ahead and continue - by all means.

You wanted to ban him because you don't like him personally, and you did. Justify it however you want, but it's no more complicated than that.
