Walks suck.... but thankfully Wood knows how to pitch around his walks right now, Mays showed he can't at the moment.

Not a bad one..... but he does not hit enough. Costa does not hit a bunch either, so they took the youth over the older guy that can't hit enough. If I was given the choice, Guiel leadoff for a while, sounds nice now huh?

Grudz is a free swinger and is better suited to hit second.
Other than maybe German, I'm not sure they really have anyone else that could do better.

Costa was hitting .300 going into todays game, so it's not like he's been terrible.

People ought to give the steroid thing a rest... A couple of guys get demonized, but look at all the beefcake guys around the league. Just because they aren't as talented at baseball doesn't mean they aren't using too. You'ld be surprised the number of players that use.
