First off, no he can't go on the damn PUP list. The PUP list starts right at training camp for the purpose of players who are coming off of offseason surgeries or injuries that will not be able to practice at the start of camp(William Bartee this year, strained achilles tendon). Since Bartee started camp there, along with Holmes, and ended camp still on PUP they both carry over into the season on PUP for six weeks and are able to practice for 2 or 3 weeks before determining to either move them to IR or activate them. John Browning started out camp not on the PUP list but later was placed on the list because of a bad back. That's why he was placed on IR on the final cuts and roster moves. You can't just put someone on PUP and let them miss 6 weeks. PUP is no longer valid until next season, with the exception of Bartee and Holmes who could be activated if healthy or moved to IR. Obviously not likely with Holmes.

And how in the hell do you compare this to Holmes' situation?

I have a very good friend who I have known since we were 6 who was at another of our freinds house whose Mom is a nurse at the hospital he was taken to.

Apparently, he was in ICU for 3 days and there was blood between his skull and brain. Not the typical Merrill Hodge career ending consussion.

I wasn't a big TG fan when he came to KC, but leaving, he is much more of a hero than Priest.

I've heard the same information from other reliable sources. There are multiple sources saying the same thing about TG's condition. Now, if people want to keep their heads in the sand about the liklihood of his retirement, then I'm not going to argue with them. Just don't say you weren't warned.
